I bought these after my husband complained about the switch from Country Cr*ck (that's margarine and one molecule less plastic!) to grass-fed butter. Butter will solidify when stored in the refrigerator. The sweet porcelain butter dome is very pretty, arrived quickly, is dishwasher safe and the perfect answer to hard butter! After cleaning, fill the jug with a bottle or filtered water up to the black line on the inside. (Do not overfill with water) Meanwhile, fill the bell with your favorite oil. Twist the oil bell into the water jug. Water forms an airtight seal with oil. The water needs to be changed every few days. Protect from direct sunlight. I was not paid for this review.
