Great tool for complex car builders, pays dividends

This tool did everything I needed to do with my Porsche Cayenne S958. From detailed diagnostic reports to troubleshooting in various modules, code special hidden options and change the steering wheel. I've used it to help friends diagnose engine lights and code modules. It also gets pretty deep at BMW and has some special features at Mercedes. Whilst Launch doesn't offer much support there is plenty of vehicle specific information on the internet then you just need to dive into the software menu when connected to your vehicle and figure out how to apply settings from other sources using this tool/software. I wish Launch only sold software as it's just a nice Android tablet with the app downloaded and licensed. I don't really need another tablet and I haven't used any of the many cables, just an OBD2 dongle for cars made in the last 15 years or so. This is a Bluetooth dongle that is neatly stored in a sturdy protective case on top of the tablet. If they only sold the Bluetooth dongle and the app license, any latest Android smartphone could do the same job. dealer or specialist shop. It definitely paid off with diagnostic information and time savings. Just recently I was in the tire kingdom and they charged an old lady $142 just to run a computer diagnostic on her old Ford Focus and check the engine light bulb. I wish I had had him with me then. I would create a 10 minute report along with an email report for free.

Cons
