Review on Beck Arnley 073 1814 Brake Hydraulic by Dave Knain

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Near perfect fit (slight modification required)

I have been mysteriously getting air in the right rear brake line on my 2006 Honda Element for the past few years, now and recently. others discuss possible rear brake line failure (this part). Due to the low cost I figured I'd try replacing it and see if that fixes the problem. When installing this new part, I had to use a hammer to hammer the center bracket (for the mounting screw) into the groove on the mounting plate. Not a big deal (although the original part was very easy to remove), but I also had to carefully drill a slightly larger diameter hole in the center bracket (about 5/16" to 3/8") to give enough room for the having the screw pass through the bracket and hook into the threads on the back of the mounting plate. In addition, this part looks well made and is almost identical to the original part it replaced. Let's see if that solves my problem with air in the line.
