I turned on the monitor and immediately noticed a lack of contrast. Adjusted the settings only to find out that "uniformity compensation" is disabled. I turned it off and started adjusting the settings when I noticed the monitor had terrible color uniformity. The left half was green and the right half was purple. No color correction can fix this. I asked around and was told that to fix the problem I would have to buy a Dell approved colorimeter for another $200, which even then wouldn't completely fix the situation. no I was also told that there would be "acceptable" color variation/uniformity issues as well. Why? For $500+ why? I will not pay money for an originally faulty product, especially if it is part of the Dell UltraSharp range. Pros: β’ Aesthetics β’ Many connectivity options β’ Resolution, clarity, color reproduction. Cons: β’ Fragile stand β’ Terrible color uniformity requiring additional equipment. partially true. β’ Black vignetting around the bottom frame. I will be returning this monitor and having bought other 27 inch IPS monitors and being frustrated it seems the manufacturers are not quite ready to make them properly.
