I used 12 bags of 2 oxygen scavengers each to pack rice and pasta for long term storage. Each package was sealed with an iron at high temperature, there are many videos on YouTube about how to seal these packages with an iron. We have just received our bags and oxygen scavengers. I've used them for freeze dried turkey and freeze dried spaghetti for camping trips. As long as they are filled and sealed like they should. I can't comment on durability yet, but they seem like a good product for the price. They're a lot thinner than the harvestable Mylar bags you get with a freeze dryer, but if you're really just "storing" food for the future, I don't see why that should be a problem.
