I had originally order the 4 in lights and initially had no problem, on the third order the whole box of lights were failing. They were getting so hot they were flashing and burning out . I have received call backs numerous times. They were so hot from the junction box it was a fire hazard. Well my husband is really good at construction and all that so he had our first 6 installed in a couple hours. They are beautiful lights, and the 3000 brightness is great for me, someone who needs warm light. The light isn’t as warm as the lights in the rest of the house, so I would imagine that the 2700 would be closer to that standard warm light. But these are great for our living room and kitchen!

Compared to the options at the big home improvement stores, you get a lot of lights for your money with this package. Though I didn't see it in the description, the lights do say they are suitable for damp locations (putting one over my shower, fingers crossed). I like having the 3 color options, but the switch does feel like it would be easy to select the wrong choice. The electrical box is very thin metal and bends when you try to remove the punch outs. Used in a new install for bedrooms, the junction boxes themselves are a tad small and the hole locations are hard to work with. The wires are copper stranded with solder on them. They come with standard twist caps, which might be too small depending on how many you will be connecting in series.Also 2 of the spring clips broke on mine, so I need to get them replaced. You should not try to reset them yourself as the springs are pretty strong and might hurt you.

bought these for my new deck. Knowing i would install a dimmer. haven't done the dimmer yet. but these babies are bright. It's December in South Dakota so there is no hurry for the dimmer install, but i think i could land a small air craft in my yard with the light output. I have a 14 x 70 deck. and i evenly spaced out 12 lights. probably could have done 10. but i was concerned about dark spots, but at 8' ceiling, that wouldn't have been an issue anyway. These are great lights and can be adjusted according to the kind of light you want. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 rating is because one of the 12 lights didn't work properly. However, by the time we realized it, almost 10 of the lights were installed so I was not going to take them all down at that point.

I saw similar style lights on a home improvement show and was very interested in this style light. What really sold me was the ability to select the color temperature. My home office is using the 4000K and I love the look and feel. My wife's sewing room is the 3000K warm white and she is so happy with more than enough light to do her sewing by.We placed another two in our kitchen for some additional counter / task lighting and they were super easy to install. Excellent 6" light set. Will buy more and try the 4" version. Dims perfectly.I had hopped these would be flush with ceiling allowing just a small hole for wires up to transformer box (installed in top floor where box could be fitted from attic.). However, you still need to cut a full 6" hole in ceiling. Sames as with a canister light. Would be great canister upgrade.But the looks greatly exceed a canister with a flat disk on ceiling and no hole visible.If they fail, (all 10 worked), replacement

These lights are easy to install and I can't complain about the price. I did have one of the 12 lights break a mounting spring off and one of the junction boxes doesn't work, so i have to ding them on the quality.

The lights worked out very well and are extremely thin - they fit anywhere! I have thick plaster ceilings and they worked just fine. My box of 12 only came with 10 lights, so I reached out to support and they quickly sent me the two missing lights . Could not have asked for better service. Very pleased. Highly recommend.

Edited to add: customer service was quick and helpful and replaced the defective light right away! 5 stars for sure.These lights are really easy to install. The hardest part is running all the wire to them. They are bright and blend into the ceiling nicely. We installed them 6 weeks ago and one of them is flickering already. I was hoping they would last a long time, but it looks like I have to order a replacement for one.

I used these to retrofit existing can lights. The biggest pain was getting the old cans out of the existing ceiling holes. The new lights trim rings were just a tad too small to completely cover the existing hole so I utilized the old trim rings by placing the old trim ring onto the new fixture.I used WAGO connectors which made wiring very easy. After putting holes in our ceiling and installing…the lights get hot and brittle, then the spring breaks off, and the lights fall out. It’s a shame, we have replaced several and it continues to happen. Could have been avoided if the spring housing wasn’t plastic. Typical example of, "You get what you pay for!” No fun once holes are cut and a lots of time in the attic!

The Electrician had no complaints when he installed them. They are nice and bright, plus a lot cheaper than the home improvement stores in my area! I even have some left over for my next project!

Love em and 1/2 price of lowes or supply house. Can change from cool white to soft white by switch in junction box. Drill hole, wire nuts and bamb! Done. Will definitely buy more.Oh, outta 8 cases only 4 or 5 were bad. Not to bad average and for the cost, chunk em and roll on.

After like 3 months of being installed, some lights started to flicker. Although the seller did send us the 2 replacements I claimed, after the "return/assist" date, other lights started to flicker too, and it continues to happen. Hardest part of the job, was removing the metal housing of the old recess cans. The install consisted of connecting 3 wires & placing new fixture and junction box in hole occupied by metal housing of old recess light.

Went to the hardware store & these lights run $16 each. Bought these lights bc of the price & figured I’d give them a try & return if they were low quality.Well, I don’t like them.I LOVE THEM!They are the absolute BEST QUALITY!We are remodeling our house & had outdated can lights throughout. I ordered 2 twelve packs of these lights. Overall I am very happy with the ones that I was able to install. There is a big caveat - 4 out of the 24 transformers do not work and I will have to find replacements.That said, they are super slim and the installation worked well in my very old and uneven plaster ceilings of varying thicknesses.
