Up date 12-26-2022 Customer support replied and answered my questions. I'm updating this to 5 stars.I contacted customer support, I'm waiting for there reply. That is the reason for 4 stars. The inverter is exactly as described. I tripped the incoming breaker to the inverter, and it switched to battery power instantly. I didn't even notice any lag in the electricity.

Just unpacked the 1200w version of this inverter. Preliminary tests of just the inverter portion are good however as others have said the built in AC outlet has the wiring reversed. I have sent an email to ampinvt support. Will see how it's handled.Update: 5/23/2022: Support emailed me back with a photo of how the wiring is supposed to be. It took around 3 minutes to swap the two wires. No soldering - just remove the 2 lugs and swap into the proper place. I have raised the rating to 4 stars.

Product "was" warranted for 1 year when I purchased it. Failed 3 weeks ago and I had 3 weeks left on warranty. Looked it up and they changed from 1 year to 3 months. Attempts to contact Tech Support ended up with crickets. I will not purchase frem them again since they obviously ignored me. Unless they want to try now? Purchased this to act as an ups for computers I’m running. Put it in operation in June, failed by October. The transfer switch will not switch back to utility power after a power failure. It switches, clicks, switches off, clicks switches on and keeps doing this until you turn the inverter off. I bought this as a backup power supply for our Harman pellet stove. I direct wired this into the panel box and connected it to four 900 amp AGM batteries in parallel and then direct wired a branch circuit to a new receptacle box upstairs next to the stove. This thing was pretty much plug and play for us! We switched our Prevost Bus over from Led/Acid Batteries to Lithium and we just swapped everything out and it all works like a dream! I love this inverter!

Yes, it the functionality is there, but there are problems.1. The fans are LOUD. with no load, the fans are spinning hard. This thing should have a temperature sensor and only spin the fans up like this when it really needs them.2. The included outlet is wired backwards. I trusted this unit to provide back up power for the freezer. Plugged into 120v and 200ah lithium 12v batteries. Was working just fine until it failed. Unknown failure right now but cost us $4K in meat for our family. For that, this is garbage and I can’t recommend. Learned a valuable lesson over this. Neutral and line switched on the 120VAC socket. Just don't use the socket. Setup in the garage to use the battery as primary and Grid as backup. Trying to use all the solar panels power during the day and run on battery at night until the battery get depleted, then switch to Grid until the next day. Wil test for some time until getting more for other circuits. Also wondering how long will the two no brands internal capacity will last until self-destruction :).

If it could hold a constant voltage while on battery this would have been perfect, but it doesn’t hold a constant voltage so I can’t recommend it.

It’s running as an unattended battery backup for my French drain pump/float controller. 1/3hp pump, 100kwh LiFePo4 battery and I’m at 50% load with my initial testing.I opened the unit when I first got it to check the onboard outlet and the hot and neutral were reversed.
