This will not unlock unless you try a few times. This is an unreliable product despite having a good reputation. If it reoccurs during use, it could be a big problem.

THIS is the "Original" stick. The only difference and the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it's black instead of red. The reason I bought this version instead of the newer ones they call 'Original' is because this version does NOT have an auto lock feature if you don't need a key to lock it. I like being able to lock it in place whether it's in use or not. Collapsed locked or expanded "used" locked.

I bought the base racquet for an old Nova I had about nineteen years ago. I sold the Nova (big mistake) and kept the club for my new truck. I've now bought a second truck and decided to buy a base racket for it. I was worried that the quality wouldn't be the same nineteen years from now. I'll be damned if the new club shoes I just bought are exactly the same as the old ones. I'm happy to see that the quality hasn't changed, it's a good club.

There are several versions and manufacturers of steering locks, but this 90's classic is still the best. I had a red original many years ago and don't know why I stopped using it. It's quick and easy to place on the steering wheel of an SUV that's large enough for a regular car, yet not too bulky. I have been using racquets for many years and have never had a problem. But this new one was almost a disaster for me. My first experience of this was during a late-night trip to the grocery store. I left the store just before closing time, loaded a lot of groceries (including a lot of frozen food), sat down and was ready to go. Please note the Revain picture is a bit misleading, the lettering is white not light blue as shown. This racquet is a great buy for the money. Resist the temptation to spend more on more expensive models. They offer about the same protection, but this model costs almost half. In addition, the Club LX model automatically snaps into place on the steering wheel when you put it on. Some might find this a handy feature, but I don't think it's that great because you don't have the option to unlock it
