I had been looking for long ones but not too large. In hard Indiana clay it is almost impossible to use the largest in the set but all other sets with smaller tips were too short for my needs. I really use the smaller one a lot and it has taken a lot from me without any problems. I would give it a 5 star set if they had one with the small and the second was not so much larger and with little usability

Both shanks were bent causing the augers to wobble and the part that goes in the drill is not cut properly to ensure a tight fit resulting in the augers falling out of the drills. Try another product and avoid this one.

Super sturdy and well designed. The larger auger will make the planting of multiple daffodil bulbs in a single hole much easier.

The little auger worked better and the big one just spun on the end of the drill. It didn't penetrate the soil at all. It would only work if you had potting soil that you had to dig through. The little one did okay but not great. I was able to dig 2 holes before it failed as well and then just spun. Our soil isn't clay but it isn't topsoil either. I would see if there wasn't a better product out there. I had high hopes because this looked easy enough.

What an amazing tool for planting our annual plants 36 per flat.Getting too old for digging . Should have this 40 years ago!

Don’t expect this to dig a hole just anywhere, it’s does fine in flowerbeds or gardens as long as it been rolled up previously

The auger is well made and is able to work its way through even the untilled soil. Although it is too early to plant the garden, but will be very helpful in the process.

Works quite well to loosen the soil and allow you to slip the bulb under the dirt. Warning: they are quite right when they recommend an 18-20 volt drill minimum. I used a 12 volt drill originally and got frustrated by the auger getting stopped. Nice solid construction. I expect them to outlast me!

The auger drill bits worked very good in good soil. Found some difficulty in harder soil using the larger 3 inch bit, but found that starting the 3 inch hole for a few inches and then using the smaller 1 3/4 inch bit to dig to the depth wanted, it was then much easier to complete the 3 inch hole to the desired depth. All in all it was a great tool to use.

The 1.6 x 9 in bit works well but the hole is small. The larger 3x12 in bit seems to compact the soil, especially clay, and will stop after a couple of inches. I suspect the tip is too large.

Product was great. Worked well. Avoided the manual digging using a hand shovel.Planted new 5" pottted plants in outside garden area.Took so much less time overall.Highly recommend this product

I have rough, rocky clay soil that has always been a challenge to start new flower beds in. I was using a mini tiller but it often got jammed due to the rocks getting stuck in it. This is a real answer to my problem. I am finally able to dig holes for new plants in way less time. This quality tool just plows through the dirt and brings up the rock very quickly to have nice deep holes to plant the new plants in.
