Used part received in wheel

Lock acquired with used oil and grease and scratches. I think I got my Somenes hub back. If I wanted a used one, I would get a used one. Works I think

Pros
  • , handy piece
Cons
  • There are doubts

Easy to install but stock was dry

Easy to install but the bearing was dry and only lasted about 60 miles before it started making noise and seizing, it started to heat up and almost fell apart

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • The list goes on.

Disappointed - bearings and seals

Not installed yet but I think if you picture them new they should be new or at least look like it. hammered by them so I hope they work well

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Installation problem - oversized o-ring

First installation ok, second failed. Send one back, the other doesn't work either. The hub doesn't go in far enough for the snap ring, only a 2mm side to side difference. I ended up removing the o-ring from the old one and using it on the new block. This solved my problem. The O-ring was too wide. 2004-F250. Hopefully the bushings will stand the test over time.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Nothing here

O-ring seems wrong

Like some other reviewers, these sockets didn't want to go far enough to lock the locking ring. The included o-ring is slightly larger than the OEM. Find some standard size -152 o-rings and they will fit with some pressure. I once had a hub that worked and one that wouldn't unlock. I can replace the plastic lock washer with an OEM one and give it a try.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Exchange availability

Close but no cigar in the stores

Just a little background I work as a shore crane mechanic on industrial ships. The product was ALMOST identical except the inner cog was 2cm longer and didn't allow the hub spring to fully seat. The hub lasted about 20 minutes and then popped out. If the selector switch is then rotated, it also disengages. The hub didn't lock up on my front axle and was able to switch to 4WD mode, but it would certainly loosen when driving on the freeway. Just an ordinary Chinese product that failed qualityโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Hard to tell

1 is ok, 1 is not.

Bought 2 at a time to overhaul the axle on my F250. Used them along with 2 wheel bearings from a Detroit axle. Driver's side done and everything went smoothly. The next day I did the passenger side, everything went fine until I went to install the locking hub, but it didn't work. With the old bearing I tried a new new hub and it fitted perfectly. Slip the old hub holder into the new wheel bearing and it will fit perfectly. The new hub and the new retainer didn't want to work together. Put theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • I won't say anything

So far so good in stock

So far so good. Exact replacement for my 2002 F250 and this doesn't seem to have properly solved my 4x4 automatic engagement problem. I read a review where someone said one of these popped out shortly after installation so I'm leaving the old ones in the truck just in case. At the moment I'm satisfied. *** UPDATE 9/21/21 *** This turned out to be complete bullshit. Absolute rubbish. I installed them over a year ago but have not used the 4x4 at all other than turning it on from time to time toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • Obsolete model
