I purchased 18 of these solar lights for a newly installed wood fence. They worked great. However, five of the lights stopped functioning properly after a few months. Contacted the company’s customer service department via e-Mail and they quickly sent me SIX new complete lights and informed me that I did not have to return the non-working units. This company definitely takes care of their customers! Thank you!

These lights worked great for about 6 months. Then one of the pair; the light started to dim. I emailed the company and just asked if I could purchase just the light/solar panel portion of the light. Again, I offered to purchase it. What the description doesn't tell you is that while they "will" fit standard 6x6 lumber (5.5" x 5.5" actual size), that's only possible by removing the base. The bottom of the actual light is a 3" square. If that's the look you want, great - looked unfinished to me. I wasn't going to mill my post down to fit any post cap lights.Three stars because I didn't keep them - I can't comment on long term durability. These lights are beautiful on my new deck. The scroll work on the lights casts a pretty pattern on the side of the house and the yard. They add just the right amount of light. They were very easy to install. We have had some issues with wind but they are easily remedied. I did have to contact the seller with a small problem but the fixed it fast and completely to my satisfaction. My neighbors have even commented about how pretty the lights are

We installed these on our split rail fence posts, located at the end of our driveway, and I choose these lights because my posts are larger then 4x4 and were able to install six of these lights in about ten minutes without using the base. The lights are very bright and the shadow left on the ground and near-by shrubs add a neat classic looking design. I would recommend these lights and would purchase these again. I purchased these solar post lights in March of 2020. The install was easy. They are being used to compliment my Raised Garden Bed structures and to add ambient soft lighting in the evening. The solar lights worked great until recently when 3 of them just died. I contacted customer service they were helpful and replaced all 3 lights. They are working beautifully again.

The light does work. The item is very flimsy the metal very thin. On a 4 inch post, you have to leave the base off as it is overhanging and made for a larger post. The light tends to be very bright at eye level (almost too bright) however the distance view is ok. Not made to last in my opinion. The feater to remove the light and solar part easily is a win. I ended up installing these lights on vinyl post even though they are made for wood post.Lights look cool. They have ambient lighting so not great for areas that require higher brightness

There is a perforated skirt designed to fit over the post. Fits the post without modification on 4" and 5" posts. On 6" X 6" posts, the net overall size is 5.5" X 5.5". The manufacturer says on these posts to omit the skirt because it won't fit around the 6" posts. I used a 3/8" rabbit bit with a big bearing and made a couple passes on the top of the post. This allowed me to use the skirt, which I think looked more finished. Nice product which was easy to assemble.

I bought a total of 8 lights. Have had them for 2 years and and only 4 work currently. We liked the design of the light but would not recommend.

We purchased 4 of these lights (2 kits) and installed them on a 12' privacy fence I made across the end of our patio and it also has a 3' wide gate in it. I bought this product to decorate the 4x4 posts on my above-ground garden. While it will work for what it is, the product is clearly made primarily for 5x5 posts (advertised as fits 4x4, 5x5, and 6x6. The installation was not difficult with an electric screwdriver and they look nice. The quality is not bad, with metal housing and a water-resistant design, however the caps just sort of sit on the top without much additional security. Overall, not bad for the price but a little underwhelming.

These lights are so pretty and very easy to install I love how the light looks at night with the pattern shining through them I put them at the end of my stairs my husband built, and they give off just enough light, they are perfect.

The lights don't stay on for very long even though they are in full light (not always sun though). The patterns they cast are so pretty!I had a problem with one of the lights not working (I purchased 6) and they gladly replaced it free of charge. I do wish the tops were more secure. We had some high winds recently and one of the tops blew off.

I recently built a patio deck outside our living room picture window and I installed these lights on the center two post of our porch. They look very nice all season long and especially during the winter months when it gets dark around 430 or five.

These post cap lights are undoubtedly beautiful. But they are also incredibly flimsy. The only reason I kept them was because I was able to salvage the sturdy remains of previous post caps lights that had been damaged. These lights wetter easy to install and work great so far. We've had them up for a couple weeks, they give off a fair amount of light and make a cool pattern at night. I would buy again.

The solar panels corroded on all 12. They no longer light up and this started happening first one light then another. They have been installed for about 16 months.

My family greatly enjoys these solar lights. I have purchased 7 sets of these lights to top my 4x4 posts. Theses lights add a tranquil warmth to my back yard. The materials and finish are first rate and have lasted through 2 Arizona summers. The actual solar light unit lasts approximately 3-4 months before the batteries need replacement.
