These are excellent rechargeable batteries!

Last a long time. Not much difference between these and the disposable types. Very handy for my wife’s recent acquisition of numerous batter powered candies! They can really go through batteries. I probably have 75 of these batteries of various sizes to power all of my devices throughout the house.

Pros
  • Ni-MH batteries have a low self-discharge rate, so they stay charged longer
Cons
  • They may not be reliable for emergency situations

EBL Rechargeable for solar lights

Replaced a weak battery with only a few hours of nightly light output left. I replaced the original with a much higher 2800 mAh. Works great, still on at dawn.

Pros
  • Miscellaneous batteries use for tooth brushes, water pick etc
Cons
  • They may not be compatible with all battery-powered devices

UPDATE: Same as AA batteries

Like: Similar format and size of a regular AA batteries. It lasts about the same as a new branded AA batteries. The customer service of EBL reached out to me to establish that I received a bad batch of batteries. They provided a full refund for the issue. It was great to see a proactive customer service that stand behind their products.Dislikes: It started leaking in about 6 months in storage and at normal temperature. It has been used infrequently as I barely use batteries. Apparently it was a

Cons
  • They may not be good for use in carbon monoxide detectors

Great value for my opinion

These seem like some pretty darn good batteries. Clock in at or above the stated mAh rating and have continued to for many cycles, and good current capability. I use 8 of them in one relatively high power device (steadycam grip) that calls for NiMH only and these power it wonderfully. No idea why it apparently can't take alkaline primary cells, it doesn't even have a charging port or anything, but fortunately I have an unhealthy amount of chargers for virtually every type of cell chemistry one…

Pros
  • Great value.
Cons
  • They may not hold a charge for very long

Tough to open clamshell packaging. Fine batteries otherwise.

You'd think in 2021, clamshell packaging with tear-open strips would be more common. Ah well, nothing a swiss army knife or scissors can't deal with in short order. That's literally my only complaint, EBL makes fine NiMH batteries and I don't mind having more around the house.

Pros
  • Can be charged and recharged hundreds of times
Cons
  • They may not be good for use in medical devices

Our third set of these batteries

Bought a starter set a couple of months ago because our old rechargeables were no longer working at peak and was taking days to recharge. We use them mostly for our flashlights for a power outage, my DSLR camera and our XBox 360 controllers. We were so impressed with how long the battery life is for these that we decided to get another set of them. For an XBox 360 controller, playing almost everyday for a few hours at a time, it would take three days with our older batteries before we had to…

Pros
  • Household Supplies

Size issue, great customer service

Update: Customer service read this review and reached out to me apologizing for my experience. They gave me a partial refund and assurance they would work to fix the issue with the batteries to make a better product. I was very impressed by their customer service.I was so looking forward to using rechargeable batteries especially at Christmas with all the lights and toys, but these seem to be a little on the chunky side and often don’t fit properly if at all in battery cases. I tried to put…

Pros
  • Package: 28 counts AA rechargeable batteries, Ni-MH 2800mAh 1.2V with 7pcs battery storage cases
Cons
  • They may not work well in low temperatures

Save money with these rechargeable batteries

I've been using rechargeable batteries since the early 1970's starting with NiCD's and more recently MiMH batteries, and have saved so much money - and the environment to boot. These EBL MiMH rechargeable AA batteries have a large storage capacity that get better every few years. They are not as sensitive to charging problems like their LiOn brothers and won't spontaneously combust like the lithium batteries. The voltage output is around 1.2V a short time after charging, but should work fine in…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities or travel where electricity may not be immediately available
Cons
  • They may not be good for use in remote-controlled toys

Don't last long but great customer service

*UPDATE* I wasn't completely happy with how long these rechargable batteries lasted for me. After writing a one star review, EBL reached out to me by email. I must say, their customer service is exceptional! I am going to give Joseph at EBL 5 stars for his commitment to making sure I was satisfied. He offered to send me some replacment batteries as well as offered to give me a refund. You just don't get great customer service like that these days. Even though I was thrilled with the handeling…

Cons

Would order EBL 2800mAh batteries again

I have several of these EBL 2800mAh batteries and they seem to hold up well. I charged the latest batch of eight that just arrived, and all of the batteries measured close to 1.2 volts straight from the package. In my La Crosse BC-700 charger (using the charge mode), they all charged to anywhere from 1.41 to 1.46 volts before being fully charged. The charger indicated approximately 2200mAh added to each during the charge cycle. That was a little bit of a surprise since I expected it to be less…

Pros
  • Works as advertised
Cons
  • They may be prone to corroding if not stored properly
