Have 4 of these in my 10x20 greenhouse. They work well but can't hold the temperature when the weather drops into the 30's. I'm not complaining because that's not what they were advertised for, just FYI for others who might be looking.

I bought this for my bearded dragon's bathing area and it gets nice and hot, but unfortunately it exploded within a week of using it. Luckily I had a few spare lights with me, otherwise my kite would have gotten stuck in the cold.

I use it to keep my bulbous babbs warm in winter. I built her an A-frame house in my garage and hung it from the ceiling. I monitor the temperature inside and outside their home and adjust the door opening as needed.

I've just added a nice rheostat (slide light switch) and placed it in a double walled, foil lined, corrugated box with a concrete backing for a base. Add as many shelves as you need and a cupcake fan and save yourself a few hundred bucks.

Our chickens are finally warm on those windy under 30 nights in the mountains! We've tried several other heating options, but this one works for the top-level (4x4) flip. So good to know they don't freeze their little chicken butts at night! :)

Definitely puts out a lot of heat. Don't know if it's warmer than the traditional red lamp, but it keeps my dogs warm in our sunny room. Also used for bedding puppies. Works well. The lightbulb was rattling when I received it. It looked like something broke inside, but everything worked fine. Maybe it was just a small piece of glass. Who knows?
