It really helps. I had an issue with an item that kept getting stuck in my truck. Used and no more problems. I find these prices too high.

the stuff is amazing! No matter what cleaner I used (alcohol, citrus cleaner, even gun and engine degreaser!) the double sided tape didn't stick to the plastic of my Hyundai Genesis. This stuff worked great!

Use this with Acrylic Plus 3M Automotive Tape and your life will never be the same! Only apply it to the area where you intend to stick the tape as it may cause your color to look hazy. But it will greatly increase the adhesive strength of your tape!

If you are gluing any type of 3M (or other) tape etc, this material is invaluable. I'm installing LED kitchen lights - first I clean them with a good degreaser/cleaner, then I wipe them down with isopropyl alcohol to dry the moisture out of the cleaning solution. Like about 20 minutes and then apply the promoter and let it dry completely before sticking the item.

If you use 3M double sided tape, don't even think about not using it. I put LED lights in my Indian Dark Horse fenders and after cleaning with acetone and using promoter a year later they are holding up like clockwork. Individually, they cost up to $5 a pack, so it's a steal. Used this to make my son's bike glow and redid the fender flares on my truck, saved me a lot of trouble.

This thing works! When you apply the promoter it dries to a light haze. Once it has dried you can tape the piece with 3M tape and it will never come off. This material is unforgiving as there is no adjustment possible once your piece is fitted, so you must get it right the first time. Apply the promoter while wearing gloves as it will be a little sticky on its own and your accessory will stick to your fingers. However, with the help of alcohol, it dissolves immediately.
