3M Quick Headlight Clear 39173 Review

I UV coated the new headlights to prolong the life as I live in the tropics and my Mustang is exposed to high levels of UV all day long. It dries to a transparent veil with streaks that are barely visible up close. I also applied it to another exposed ABS plastic under the windshield, for example. It also dried to a transparent layer. Hopefully this will help prolong the life of the plastic.

Easy to attach. I recommend wearing rubber gloves as this can irritate the skin. If your headlights are already fogged up, this won't make them clear straight away. You will need to restore them using a 3M Headlight Restoration Kit or other restoration kit. After that, a transparent layer should be applied so that they do not become cloudy again in the future.

Used for 2014 Honda Accord headlights. When they started to look milky and foggy, something had to be done about it as the automobile's appeal was fading. I was amazed by the results within minutes. It got at least 50% better. I know you should probably be doing this twice a week or two for 70-80% visible results. I have used it for the 2nd time in 7 days and now it looks almost new! highlighted.

I thought it was a rip off when I opened the packaging and found that it only contained a 3000 grit sanding pad and polishing paste. I bought it under the impression of the 3M brand, it was a mistake. Sandpaper and headlight polish are so expensive it's a total heist. I have over 50 sheets of 3000 grit sandpaper and the Nano is better than the cost less than $10 provided. The kit included a small 3000 grit sanding pad and two sealed packets of chemical wipes. I have already fully prepped the headlights on my 2002 Jeep Grad Cherokee Laredo using another 3M Headlight Restoration Kit and 3M sandpaper that was purchased separately. Second coat of clear coat. I waited longer than recommended in the package, 20 minutes versus 10-15, but that wasn't enough on a hot, slightly humid day. Addition after almost 2 years: headlights still look great! They have not faded in the sun and still look remarkably clean. Great stuff!
