Description of Quality Flap Disc Pack - DocaDisc's 4.5 inch (10 Pack) - 40 Grit Zirconia Abrasive Grinding Wheel, Flap Wheel, and Sanding Discs - Professional Grade

OPTIMALLY DESIGNED FOR AGGRESSIVE CUTTING on both contoured and flat surfaces, the canonically shaped Type 29 discs are superior to standard flat Type 27 discs for most applications, particularly the robust, hard-cutting applications most common for 40 Grit flap wheels. ENHANCED SURFACE CONTACT AND CONTROL resulting from the angled flaps maximizes the optimal application of pressure to the cutting surface while ensuring ease of use, comfort, and grinder control. SUPERIOR DURABILITY AND VALUE stems from the zirconia alumina material which lasts longer than standard aluminum oxide abrasive material – making for a more durable and cost-effective grinding wheel - they simply provide more for less. EXTENSIVE APPLICATION - the 4 1⁄2 inch by 7/8 inch disc fits nearly all similarly sized angle grinders for stock removal, grinding, blending, beveling, deburring, removal of rust and paint, finishing, and other similar applications on metals, non-ferrous materials, fiberglass, plastics, woods, and many other surfaces. TOP CHOICE ABRASIVE - flap discs have quickly become the go-to abrasive disc and are continuing to grow in popularity due to their cooler cutting, less frequent burning and gouging, lower vibration and noise – and ultimately, their superior value.

high quality economical petal disc.

I've been making steel for a while and I've never seen a more economical, high quality flap disc. In fact, I now mostly use 40 grit instead of grinding wheels. Quieter and removes metal. It's even better if the wheel can heat the metal too much and then not be as efficient. 40 is great for everyday work This will definitely not be my only order

Pros
  • Abrasive discs and grinding wheels
Cons
  • Not everything fits

4 stars for the price - Serrated Washers

These flap washers work but are quite flimsy. They don't last very long. I had a small project using an angle grinder to scrape rust off metal gates and they got the job done, but I had to replace them often. Diablo lasts 2-3 times longer but I can get a 10 pack for the price of one. For the price I paid for it I will buy again. Also note that the paper on the disc will fly out when you use it, which is a bit dangerous. Therefore, be sure to wear safety goggles.

Pros
  • Serrated Washers
Cons
  • Zero

long game. the best grinding and finishing materials

As a steelmaker, I use many consumables. IE: grinding discs, flap discs, cut-off discs etc. So I try to find the products that give me the best bang for my buck. These discs meet all requirements. They offer the best combination of quality and durability for the price. I use them to finish rough edges and shape the metal I'm working on. A decent amount of material can be removed. They last about 2x longer than other discs I've bought. So do yourself a favor and buy them.

Pros
  • Industry and Science
Cons
  • I will say nothing
