🔝 LA-CO 44094 High-Quality Yellow Slic-Tite PTFE Gas Line Pipe Thread Tape - Premium Grade, 260" Length, 1/2" Width Review

I've read other reviews complaining about the thickness of this tape and it doesn't seal leaks . All I can say is that these people are either stupid or got the wrong product. This material is thick, especially when compared to traditional Teflon tape. I'm an HVAC technician with a mechanical background. This tape works well and I have used it to seal many gas fittings to date.

I wasn't very happy when I received the material because I wanted to buy something very professional. Because I have a hard-to-reach dryer and I want to make sure it's sealed well. This stuff fell apart after just sticking tape to threads it didn't seal. I'm very familiar with overhead gas lines and every other type of water etc. But this didn't work here like the normal stuff I buy in a big store. I use stuff I paid a dollar for in a sealed find, this one didn't work very well here and just…

I carried a few logs with me for about 30 years and finally decided to convert the fireplace from wood burrs to gas logs in our present hope and needed thread sealant. This tape seems to have nailed it, and for about $4 I got a lot more than I'll ever need. I have very little room to move around and a running gas line isn't that difficult to install, but removing it to get at a leaky joint is a hassle, so I used lots of wraps on each thread to fix make sure i did it. Used yellow LA-CO gas line tape with closed cartridge AstroAl and Milton 1/4" NPT reservoir valve on a Dewalt DCC020I 20V air compressor and we loved it.
