Although it looks like the original, the original key cannot be used with it.

The original carved key did not fit in the case. The modification was necessary but in the end it still didn't work and I didn't want to damage my original key. What's even more frustrating is that I can't contact the seller because my only option is to return the item, but I don't want to do that as the item is now damaged.

Will not fit PCB

The specs say it will fit a 2010 VW Touareg transponder chip but it doesn't. The shape of the case is roughly correct, but there is a slight difference that didn't allow the circuit board to sit tightly in the key fob and then close. Normally I would just return it and not comment, but I can't in good conscience return it because I tried to modify the case to fit. It's frustrating when they tell me something fits and trust the seller and spend my money only to get what just ends up being thrown

I bought this because my key and the electronics of the original key are fine but the key housing has a crack and the pin is out which means I have it can't use the key for everyone because the key blade will fall out. This key replacement is like b+ for quality and OEM key copy. It looks very similar but obviously not of the same quality.
