This Antenna is actually quite well made and would be excellent on the Miatas that it supports. My 2018 Miata arrived without an external antenna. The seller was clueless as to what became of it. Local auto stores sold replacements to fit any and all cars. Well, all of the adapters didn't the Mazda's short socket. I made it work with a "D" faucet washer. It worked fine until a car washer's whirling wheels of straps broke it off. I love the size and design of this antenna! Right from the box, I could feel the quality of the product. It definitely had more weight to it that the stock one, and in return fells more sturdy as well! The reception on my radio hasn't changed at all. I haven't had an issue with losing stations or having static. Just unscrew the old antenna and screw this one in and you're set. The look of it on the car is a definite upgrade from the oem one that made my Miata look like an RC car lol.

I bought this Stubby antenna to replace a cracked original Miata antenna. I was a bit concerned about the reviews because some people mentioned a loss in reception. Fits my 19 Miata GT fine but the reception is slightly worse. This is to be expected as it is rather on the short side. Needs frequent cleaning.

The product looks great and will fit well under a utility roof rack. However, the radio reception is not as clear as the factory antennae. My favorite stations have a bit more static and feedback as well as an echo. The reception should be improved and the product would get a solid five stars. Looks much better than the stock RC antenna on the Miata. Reception is a bit poorer than stock, but Miata is a noisy car anyway so I don't mind a so-so radio.

Bought this for my 2009 Mazda 3 over one of those "universal" ones revain has, mostly because I'm a little bit of a dumb*ss and wasn't sure if I could figure out the nuts and bolts of the other product. Reasonable priced, sleek, and stylish! I haven't tested the radio quality but it looks amazing and was even smaller than I expected. My only fit, that could be a problem for someone, is that it's slightly darker than the base of the original antenna. But if you can overlook that small detail, it's great. Product meet my expectation, but there was two problems, first I received the wrong antenna, so I have to return it at Kohls for an exchange and the correct antenna arrived today but the amazon envelope was open, thanks god the item still inside and not damage, overall seems like I get better reception the this new antenna and it look very nice too.

Do you like being impaled by the stock whip antenna when waxing the MX-5? No! So get this. I installed mine in minutes with my BARE HANDS. It works perfectly, no stations seem weak, and I enjoy it every time I look at the car. Also, this is worth having if you use a car cover. This should have come with the car from factory.

Original antenna cracked and exposed the wire. This was a 5-second fix. Has worked for several months and survives car washes.

My stock antenna was stolen and I got this as a replacement. It’s smaller, so the reception is not as good, but it’s not very noticeable with FM radio. Perfect fit and it looks better than stock.
