Upgrade for Granite Voltage

These guys seem up to the task for toughening up my sons Granite Voltage. I’ve only run one pack through since install but we did a bunch of ramp jumping and they help up very well. Strong construction, and they look good.Not sure what weight the oil is in them, but I switched it out for some 50wt. Nice shocks for the price

  • Work great. Common sense of rc is spring rate and oil might have to be changed to be perfect

  • Wayyyy to soft of springs for traxxas hoss. Broke shock in driveway after first easy use.

Works well in my review

Bought this for my son’s Arrma Vortex. Shock quality feels nice and strong. Springs felt too soft as well as the fluid used was too light. I ended up changing the shock fluid to a heavier weight and using the original Arrma springs fir a stiffer ride. Wish there was more shock travel; works fine since we wanted to lower the car for better parking lot handling but would not work well for jumps of off-road on the vortex platform.

  • The assembly process for the shocks may be difficult and time-consuming, especially for those with little experience in RC car maintenance

Not for 10th scale bashers

The shaft is really wonky inside the body. I removed all the air bubbles and tried again, same result. Shaft also moves side to side with no effort. Shocks should not do that. These may be good for a small race car, but for bashing? Hahaha. No. Just. no.

Good for the price for my opinion

Not bad at all especially for the price. I'm running them on a 2wd traxxas slash for carpet off-road racing. The action is smooth and the finish is good. They are pretty soft though. Could use some stiffer springs. They do come with oil in them but no idea what weight it is. I put 45 in the front and 40 in the rear. The pistons are 3 hole. I'm going to try plugging one hole to see if that helps them a little. Otherwise could run higher weight oil I guess.Only real issue would be replacement…

Really cool shocks that work well

I like that they are strong resistant shock system but the only thing i had an issue with was flawed is that one of the shocks came with other coil being pushed up to far on to the top toward the end cap. I had to just use pliers no Biggy other than than I would have given 5 star but instead give it a 4 and 1/2 star rating 🙂

Absolute junk - my new review

Very cheaply made. Lower cap fell off as soon as I took it out of the pack, lost all the oil all over me. Description says tighten lower nut. Well how bout you tighten it before you send it if you know it's loose.

Very nice shocks. on my review.

I liked the quality and craftmanship of these shocks. However, they were to short for my application so I had to return them. Sorry about that. They were real nice quality

This shock absorber works really well.After being used for so long, it keeps on working.I like it very much. That's my feedback.

Ordered 2 sets, 1 DOA and 2 bent first out

1 of the 4 small shock eyelets was broken, so i couldn't use it :(Used these for my volcano epx. They ended up being a bit larger so i ended up only running 2 long on the front and 2 long on the back (instead of 4 each). I cleaned them and refilled with 50w.I also ran 2 of the smaller shocks on my tornado epx pro. This is my wife's car, and she chose not to refill hers. Couldn't run 2 on the back because broken eyelet :(We've only been out once and was very light, as we upgraded a few different

Jumps jumps and more jumps and not a single break !

So far so good ! Put these on my older arrma buggy and jumped it for a sold 30 min and not a single problem. Don’t think they come with enough oil or it might just be to thin, other then that a great shock !

They look great but performance…meh.

Things to know before you buy!Purchased for use on 1/10 Losi Lasernut (Tenacity)The ones I purchased were only about 1/3rd full of lightweight oil so disregard the ready to use info.They seem to be somewhat well made and look good so there is potential.My issue is that they’re too soft and my front end droops low. The pictures above show this. The truck was dropped from less than a foot, level on all four wheels. My Losi is mainly all stock, only a couple light weight mods which has no effect…
