Workable but Not Durable

I bought these traction boards for a 4x4 excursion in the Paria Canyon. The traction boards were great in getting 2 4x4s out of the sand, but many of the traction tracks and nodes on surfaces of the boards got scraped or melted off. I doubted that they would be much of help the next time around and dumped them in the recycle bin.

Pros
  • Unique design: ORCISH recovery traction boards double-headed shovel design can temporarily act as a digging shovel ,just pull up the little strip on handel,it will help your traction boards easy out of Mud,Sand,Snow when you done with the rescue.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all skill levels

Works well in my review

Purchased these for the value and used them in the Colorado snow. They worked well. Pros= cost, fast shipping, stout product. Cons= handle area broke even in snow but still very usable, stack a little high, definitely NOT red! ha ha. Overall satisfied for the money.

Pros
  • Durable design that can withstand tough conditions
Cons
  • May be difficult to secure in place

Nice affordable alternative to the big name

Great product. Went and purposefully got stuck on a trail in the ice and snow to test these out. Worked like a charm. Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Not suitable for extreme off-roading

Great boards. on my review.

I use them in our trip to the beach. They were a great help when we get stuck. They are very strong and easy to install in the truck.

Pros
  • They seem even better than expected
Cons
  • They work fine but should have included mounting hardware for the price..!!

Saved us on ice in Maine

Bought these "just in case” for a February trip to Maine. Parked our Toyota 4Runner facing down a hill and went for a day hike. While we were gone a pickup parked in front of us and the ground iced over. Couldn’t reverse up the hill due to ice and kept sliding closer to the pickup. These traction boards got us off the hill without any damage and saved us having an accident on vacation. WORTH IT!

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • May be difficult to attach to tires

Good value on my review.

Can't write a revue yet because I haven't used them. I can say that they are very well made, light weight but very strong. Will write a final revue after I've had a chance to use them. They are in the back of the truck just waiting.

Pros
  • Love it. Mounted on the inside of the rack.
Cons
  • May not work on steep inclines or declines

No mounting solution

These come with mounting pins but no brackets. They can’t be mounted with just the pins. If I knew I would have to buy additional hardware I would have gone with a complete product set elsewhere.

Pros
  • Saves time and effort when recovering a vehicle
Cons
  • May not be stable on certain inclines or declines

Ordered Red, Got Orange

No clue what the quality of these are and perhaps I'll revisit this review once I have a chance to use them, but for now I'm giving them 3-stars purely because they're the wrong color. And it's not even close. It's not like they're light red, these are flat out orange.

Pros
  • Professional after-sales team: Come with mounting pins and a bag for easy carrying. If there is any problem during the purchase period, please contact us at any time, and we will provide the most professional and timely service.
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all recovery equipment

Excellent product for the cost.

Great product for the price. Got them for Christmas and have used them at least ten times, mostly helping other get unstuck. My only complaint is that they are not super durable. One of the vehicles I tried to help decided it was smart to burnout on top on my board, causing a decent section of the knobs to wear completely off. Other than that, the boards have been great.

Pros
  • Lightweight and easy to carry
Cons
  • May be uncomfortable to walk on

Life saver on my review.

I would defiantly recommend these to anybody that off-roads. We ended up getting stuck in snow this weekend as we went up a snowy road with our Jeep. long story short I don't think we would have gotten out of wasn’t for these boards! And being it wasn’t a traveled road might have been stuck for couple days but for sure the night.

Pros
  • Offers a quick and efficient solution for getting unstuck
Cons
  • May not work on rocky or uneven surfaces

They work, but the material fails

Used these once on some snow we got stuck on. They eventually got us out of the situation, but they cracked and melted in certain spots. I’m giving them 3 stars because they worked, but the material failed in the process. I really wish my warranty would still cover them.

Pros
  • Made with high-quality materials for longevity
Cons
  • May require additional tools for proper installation

Worth the money! in my review

they came quick, they cam just as advertised and the quality is spot on. use for Subaru Forester and they work fine in mud and bridging.

Pros
  • Used them twice in snow with a ford transit. Payed for themselves!
Cons
  • May break under heavy weight

Great customer service and great budget board.

what you are getting with these Traction Boards is a usable Get-yourself-out-of-trouble Ticket.these are heavier and thicker than Maxtrax boards and as a side effect of the design stack about twice as Thick as maxtrax, (four maxtrax stacked are about the thickness of two of these) They are also stiffer than maxtrax, you can decide for your own if that is advantageous or not.I used them to pull my Nissan Frontier out of the snow ended up cracking the first few inches of one of the boards, I was…

Pros
  • A necessary addition to any off-road recovery kit
Cons
  • May not work with some types of transmission

Small issue, great product

I finally used the boards for the first time to get me unstuck in very Soft Sand and saved me from calling a recovery service. Unfortunately my boards cracked by the handle area but nevertheless they got me out when the frame of my suv had already gone down to the Sand. Despite my boards breaking, I think they are worth it

Pros
  • Compatible with a range of tire sizes
Cons
  • May not be legal in certain areas or countries

So far, so good! on my review.

They came in 5 days. I’m glad they did because I got stuck in the snow yesterday and was able to get out using these. I was worried about some of the reviews I read, things like breaking on first use, studs wearing away quickly, long shipping time. I’ve had none of these problems so far and am glad I bought these when I did. So far so good.

Pros
  • Essential tool for solo off-roaders
Cons
  • May require additional weight distribution

Good boards, great price.

Very pleased with these boards. They are very sturdy feeling, and while I cannot yet attest to their durability, at this price point I could go through three sets and still have spent less than one pair of another brand. The storage bag they come in is also quite nice.

Pros
  • Rugged, look good. Didn't need the bag though - it should be optional.
Cons
  • Nice

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not red, but not bad

Thicker than I expected, seem sturdy for the price. Only complaint is the red is closer to an odd orange/baby pink shade. Pictured here beside a red gas can for reference.

Pros
  • Winches
Cons
  • May be too heavy to carry on long trips

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Way better then I though they would be!

Used these in some really deep sand last week to get a 4 Runner towing and off-road trailer turned around after it got stuck. Used them under the back wheels because they were sinking so bad. The damage to the boards was from wheel spin. It wouldn’t have been covered even on the $300+ boards. They do have some signs of stress and may crack in the future but we made 15+ runs on the boards and drove them deep into the sand.

Pros
  • Boosts confidence when venturing off-road
Cons
  • May require additional safety precautions

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No complaints on my review.

So far, so good. I haven't need to use them to get unstuck but I have used them several times to balance my truck on camping trips. The last trip, I stacked them on each other and put them under one wheel. No deforming or cracks. Very pleased.

Pros
  • to get out of being stuck in the snow
Cons
  • Heavy and bulky to store
