Where value meets quality

This is my second batch of Mylar bags. The first was a different brand. I was very hesitant to order these because of the reviews on how thin they were. They came nicely packaged and with a lovely bonus. A print out explaining in detail how the bags and oxegen obsorbers worked.Yes the bags were see through which frightened me, but this is addressed in their print out. I found it satisfactory.I used the bags to store wheat berries and pinto beans, then sealed them right away with my hot iron…

Pros
  • The bags feature heat-sealable rounded corners, making it easy to seal them securely
Cons
  • The bags' narrow size and heat sealing requirement may make it challenging to store the food in an organized manner

High quality and the perfect size.

The quart size bags are perfect for the items you don't use in large quantities. I used it for sugar, salt and rice. This way, you only open what you need. The bags sealed up easily and completely. I will buy them again.

Pros
  • Household Supplies
Cons
  • The bags are not labeled with expiration dates

More included and better than described.

Very high quality. They gave plenty of O2 absorbers, more than actually described. Easy to use. Great product. Everyone should have some.

Pros
  • 8 x 8 x 12 inches
Cons
  • The bags might not stand up on their own, so the user would have to hold them open while filling them with food

Better than promised.

I was worried about the large pack of "100 cc" oxygen absorbers shown on the ad - thinking that most of them would be unusable because they were not packaged in smaller packages. I was delighted that I received 5 10-packs of "300 cc" absorbers instead - making the deal far better than promised in the ad.

Pros
  • Llegó en buen estado
Cons
  • The Mylar material is prone to tears

Great value on my review.

I bought these bags because my number 10 cans of freeze-dried food could not be used quickly enough to keep them from starting to deteriorate before I could use all the product. These bags are the perfect answer 2 be able to divide up the big cans of dehydrated food without them going bad. The bags are sturdy, easy to use, and came earlier than expected. Basically I'm very happy.

Pros
  • The bags are made from high-quality Mylar, a material that is resistant to punctures, tears, and other damage
Cons
  • The bags' 300cc oxygen absorbers may not be suitable for all food items

These bags are much thinner than expectd.

I searched in Revain for 7mil mylar bags. This came up. I have to admit, I did not read thoroughly enough or I would have realized that the text never indicated the thickness. I'm new to freeze drying and everything I have read says to use at least 5 mil but strongly recommend 7. I thought that was what I had purchased. I just took a batch of chicken out of the freeze dryer and had to get them bagged up. I used my last 7mil bag and opened these. There are no bones in the chicken but the…

Pros
  • The bags are reusable and can be used multiple times, saving you money over the long run
Cons
  • The bags' mylar material may not be the most hygienic choice

Positive quality positive price!

Arrived quickly and timely. Both bags and oxy absorbers were packaged very well. Absorbers were fresh and ready to go. Quart Mylar bags are nice sized where I cut in half to make 2 cup size bags for bullion storage. Seal very nicely with vacuum sealer( minus the vacuum). Will buy from packfresh USA again in a variety of sizes. Thank you!

Pros
  • I was quite impressed by the quality of the bags.
Cons
  • The bags might not fit standard pantry shelving dimensions

Thick and sturdy good for me

I love these Mylar bags. It is my second purchase of them. They are thick and durable and seal really well and come with Oxygen Absorbers . I will be ordering them again when this batch runs out.

Pros
  • Low Oxygen Transmission Rate: Mylar bag films provide three layers of protection and offer an extremely low Oxygen Transmission Rate (OTR) due to its thick foil laminate layer. This safeguards your food against the elements for long-term preservation.
Cons
  • The bags may not be airtight, causing the food to spoil faster

Quality Bags and Smart Packaging of the O2 absorbers

These work great! I love that they come in a nice kit w/ bags and oxygen absorbers together, and it is really smart that they pre-package the oxygen absorbers in packs of 10, so you don't have to worry about wasting them if you don't use them all at once, or trying to find an alternate method of storing your left over absorbers. The pre-made tear notches are great too, makes opening the bags really easy. I sealed with a foodsaver using the "seal only" mode. Note: these mylar bags (like…

Pros
  • They are also perfect for storing non-food items, such as medications and first aid supplies
Cons
  • The bags' edges may be thin and prone to fraying

Good value for the price

Bags larger than expected but using left over pieces of bags for storing instant coffee and coffee creamer with smaller O2 absorbers. Makes this worth the purchase for sure.

Pros
  • Just bought
Cons
  • The oxygen absorbers may not work effectively in a humid environment

Make 'em work for the title of best on the market

I have been using these bags for a couple of years now in my preps and they perform very well. I usually use them for two items, in that I fill half of the bag , seal it then move up an inch & seal it again. Add more food then seal it again. Depending on the food product, I usually get two food products from one qt. bag.

Pros
  • Mylar bags are environmentally friendly and can be recycled after use
Cons
  • The bags may have microscopic holes that go unnoticed, reducing their efficiency

Not the quality that I was expecting

These bags are considerable thinner than all other bags I have used in the past. I'm having difficulty sealing them properly because the mylar tends to melt too much in my impulse sealer (I'm hopeful that this is simply a matter of finding the correct "sweet spot" on the sealer.I also did not realize (because it is not listed in the description) that the bags are not light proof. This now means that I'll have to make sure they are kept stored in a light-proof container (just adds to the cost of

Pros
  • The bags measure 8" x 12", providing ample space for a variety of food items
Cons
  • The bags may not be suitable for a single person's needs

Awesome, re-ordered

I loved the size! Convenient for storaging. We fitted a whole bag of rice (about 3 lb) which is more than what we thought it could fit. In another we put about 2 lb of dried prunes and peaches.

Pros
  • Works well. I'd order again.
Cons
  • Was disappointed in the quality of the bags. They are very thin.

Great bags! Very happy with this purchace.

I just received these Mylar bags in the mail. I was very surprised at how big they were. They are much bigger than I thought they were going to be. They are nice and thick and work great with beans and rice. I haven't had the opportunity to try it with medical supplies yet, but I am planing on it in the next day or two. I will buy these again.

Pros
  • They are also BPA-free, ensuring that your food stays free from harmful chemicals
Cons
  • The bags may trap moisture inside, causing mold to develop

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good smaller sealing bag.

We needed smaller bags than the one gallon ones we had been using and these fit the bill. We will buy these again when we run out.

Pros
  • Mylar bags are also lightweight and easy to store, making them ideal for emergency preparedness
Cons
  • The bags may have sharp edges that could scratch hands

good value: my feedback

I like the size and quantity offered with these bags. Having the OAP's included made this purchase a good value. The OAP's are packaged by 10's, so I don't have to use them all at once which is awesome. Information included with the shipment guided me to a tutorial on Utube which I appreciated because I am new at preservation. Also information was included on shelf-life for various items. I will be purchasing these again when I need more.

Pros
  • These bags are perfect for storing dried fruits, grains, and other dry goods
Cons
  • The bags' corners may prevent the user from filling them up completely

We have a home freeze dryer which came with gallon and half gallon size bags but I needed small serving size bags so ordered these and have found them durable and a good size and come with oxygen absorbers. The oxygen absorbers are packaged with a color dot indicator but not with instructions saying what color the dot should be if the absorbers are still good. My biggest concern is to always make sure my heat sealer seals them completely so there is no air leak so I usually seal twice, one…

Pros
  • Mylar bags are a great alternative to traditional food storage containers, which can be bulky and take up a lot of space
Cons
  • The bags may become brittle over time, causing them to tear easily

I can see through them.

I research on mylar has been that they are not translucent. When these are held up to the light, you can see through them. The point of mylar is to keep light out, as well as oxygen. They are not very thick, which is what was advertised, so I am not surprised, but I have ordered 3.5 and 5 mil from other carriers and they were not see through. Was disappointed in these for long term use. Will have to use them for short term as I do not have confidence in them.

Pros
  • 43237-2
Cons
  • The bags require a separate tool for filling them with food
