Type of review

Used mine for the big black back window on RV. Noticed it had a flaw and was sewn over to correct which wouldn't be at all noticeable if used for a garden as intended. I kept it and am happy with it because the light comes through and it's shaded enough to keep that window cool.

Pros
  • Just what I needed
Cons
  • The shade cloth may require additional hardware or tools to install properly

Afternoon Sun has been tamed

My wife's hydrangea's were getting baked. I hung this over them to keep the direct sun off.It lowers the temp by 20 degrees. The 100 degree days that fried our flowers are no more. These sun screens work.

Pros
  • Lightweight and easy to handle for hassle-free installation and removal
Cons
  • The shade cloth may not provide enough shade for larger areas like commercial greenhouses or outdoor venues

Great plant protection!

This shade has been a real life saver for our plants during this hot summer. They get light but are also shielded very nicely. We also use it for a bit of privacy as well. Would recommend!

Pros
  • Works great. I use it to block excess light pollution around my garden.
Cons
  • The shade cloth may be difficult to store in a compact manner when not in use

Works Great As a Windblock Also

I mounted this on posts to break the wind to protect a fruit tree. The grommets are strong and the fabric holds up well. It stands up to the Southern California sun. I've had it up for an entire year. It lets in enough light for the tree. No complaints.

Pros
  • Reduces heat and provides shade for outdoor spaces
Cons
  • The shade cloth may not be as breathable as other materials like mesh or netting

20 GIANT ORPHANED GOLDFISH ARE SAVED!

We purchased two of these shade cloths to use as an emergency sun block for a 300 gallon above ground goldfish pond. The fish were an unexpected rescue from a repo home and had to be removed by the end of the day we’d found them. They were in a swimming pool of sludge water. We didn’t have the luxury of building a "normal” pond. Their emergency habitat was a 300 gallon cattle trough we placed under an old awning with a lattice roof. The sun came in from all sides, rapidly raising the water…

Pros
  • I did like 👍, possibly will get more.
Cons
  • The shade cloth may attract dirt and debris, making it difficult to clean

I used this to shade my carrots in the heat of the Texas sun. I used zip ties and attached to posts and it is sturdy even during windy conditions.

Pros
  • Wanted privacy in a small section of yard and this worked perfectly
Cons
  • The grommets on the shade cloth may be poorly placed or weakly attached

Perfect size for a small patio

Although I had quite a wait for item to arrive, one has to take into consideration that Covid-19 is creating delays in shipping. I was thrilled to find a 6' x 6' shade cloth online as I needed it to cover sun sensitive plants during the summer months on my small, back patio. This is perfect! It is light weight, well manufactured and just what I need it for. protection for my container plants.

Pros
  • Works just as advertised and has really helped my succulent garden that was getting sunburned
Cons
  • The shade cloth may not be as flexible as advertised, making it difficult to maneuver into place

Pros
  • It saved my patio plants in the 95 degree sun..but difficult to cut.
Cons
  • a little bit thinner than I wanted it

Works for me! best in my review

I have a pergola that had an adjustable/move able cloth cover. The cover was destroyed over the years and I had to remove it. I was unable to find a replacement cover. It’s seems it is discontinued. I thought I would try this shade cloth to see if it helped cut the glare from the sun before I invested a lot of money in trying to find a new custom cover. I am very pleased with it. I just put it up using some zip ties. It is very inexpensive but does help with the sun. I am not sure if it will…

Pros
  • Shade Cloth
Cons
  • The shade cloth may not be as effective at reducing heat as other materials like insulating foam or cork

My poor little garden

The killer Texas sun has baked several of my plants. So I moved what lived to a small spot just the size of this cloth and set up drip-hose. So far, so good. Still no tomatoes.

Pros
  • Ideal for use in chicken coops to provide shade and protection for birds
Cons
  • The grommets may require additional reinforcement or hardware to prevent tearing or damage

these shades work great!

I had bought them to go on our canopy when we were at football games. Now I'm going to use them for my grandson's baseball games in their dugouts. You can see through them but it blocks the sun. They are really awesome.

Pros
  • I love this product. It’s so easy to install
Cons
  • The material may be prone to shrinking or expanding with changes in humidity or temperature

Great for Greenhouse

Gave the cloudy day effect on a bright sunny day. Dropped temp in my greenhouse by 30 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit. It has been extremely hot this year! Would buy again and recommend.

Pros
  • Is a little thinner than I expected, but it’s held up and does the job well. It was delivered quickly.
Cons
  • The material may be too lightweight to provide adequate shade or protection

Great cloth but. best in my review

This product is great. It has saved my plants from dying in the Texas heat. I didn't give 5 stars because all my other cloths I've ordered come with straps to install. This one does not comes with straps, bands, etc for install. Other than the missing straps this product is great.

Pros
  • exactly what we needed! Easy to deal with as well.
Cons
  • The shade cloth may not be as durable as heavier materials like canvas or vinyl

I used it as a cover over my potting station. It helps block the sun while I work. I would have liked it to have more tie down holes though.

Pros
  • It definitely helps with my Koi pond, reduce algae growing fast.
Cons
  • The material may be prone to tearing or ripping over time

Kept the flies out!

I used the fabric on the door to my horses run in to keep the flies out. It works like a charm and my horse just walks through it and it falls back in to place.

Pros
  • If you want to create a comfortable shaded area, this fence will make a cooler area for yourself, your family, pets or your garden.
Cons
  • The material may be prone to pilling or snagging over time
