Good chip control. I removed the star because you need to install it with a screw and secondly that screw is NOT included. You will also need to remove the screw and slide to cover the table extensions.

Glad I found this. I didn't have a tablet on my DW733 but this one works great. The only complaint is that DeWalt designed the planet/parachute to require screws for attachment. For this reason, I leave the parachute permanently attached.

It was very easy to install just a few screws and fits perfectly. This allows my dust collector to recover about 98% of the chips produced by the planer. No more sweeping and vacuuming after each planing job. Some still come out from the feed side, but not enough to sweep at all. The plane should come with one of them, and new ones may come as it's an old plane.

Since no screws are included I give 4 stars but give the product and service 5 stars. If you're looking for screws I've used 6 screws -32x1/2" and so far they're working great. I haven't checked in a long time but for 3 screws it's $1.50. They hold up well, I'm sure they will good job. YOU NEED THE WASHERS ALSO. The slot that the screw goes in was a hair bigger than the head of the screws I bought. I've made some cookie pucks and they work great.
