opened seam on my review.

I didn't have much problems mounting it and installing it. But unfortunately I was never able to collect much rain water due to a leakage below the higher spout, right on the plastic material seam.I know, I've been procrastinating writing my comment here, so I'm wondering if there's a way to return this item and receive a good one, or to get my money back. My purchase was done in June. I hope I get any response soon. Thanks!

Proprietary Sizes? - my new review

Proprietary sizes for the pipes/threading? Im not sure, It doesnt seem to leak now that I got it all adjusted and glued. The sizing did not seem to be a standard size but it did end up working ok once I glued this together. This could have been avoided if they just used common parts. Its holding up so far and I like the lid a lot. The numbers are easy to read and the bladder seems to be doing good as well.

Nice quality material and easy to setup.

The materials for this are nice and thick so my first impressions are it should last quite awhile.Was easy to put everything together as well.Haven't had this long enough for the water to fill up to a level to pour water out of it to see how well the spouts work, but I'll try to remember to update when I'm able to!

fitting threads do not match

threaded fittings on tank valve not sized properly to tighten. Had to use pvc pipe fittings from Home depot to get leaking to stop.

The 66 Gallon Barrel is Very and Very Well Thought Out.

We were looking for water barrels and happened to come across this one. After putting it together we were very amazed how durable it was. The plastic is superior, we noticed right away that the plastic didnโ€™t smell. Our favorite parts were how we could measure how much water we had in the barrel and also the plastic filters behind the spickets for outgoing water. Even looks attractive in our yard.

So far, so good for my opinion

The item was received quickly and was easy to assemble. I just got it yesterday, so I cannot really speak to how sturdy it is or how well it will work, but it is pretty much what was expected for the price. The holes in the mesh at the top are a bit larger than I expected and I am concerned about bugs getting in there, but I am sure there is a solution if it becomes a problem. Only time will tell.

Not leaking. Working well on my property

This 66 gal potable heavy type of vinyl rain barrel is starting to fill up from theRain and snow we are getting in the Sierras.The top has a cover with a Mash that lets the rain and snow in, but keeps leaves andDirt from getting in the barrel .I live on a few acres in Ca. And I thought this is a good idea to catch our rain and snow, and use this to water plants and trees with out dragging a hose, or if there is not a hoseTo get that far.So far we have had a good rain and some snow which weโ€ฆ

Better than expected

I gave this a 4 because the 2 spouts to get water out are very hard to get a tight seal so water does not leak. After that is accomplished the water container is very sturdy and easy to use. Good for inside or outside use.

Gaskets leak for my opinion

Collapsible rain barrels are a great idea, but only if the provided gaskets for the spigot don't leak. The gaskets are an odd size (not easily replaced w/higher quality ones) and do not seal completely, even when Teflon tape is added to the threads. Had I not such an urgent need, I would have returned this.

Leaks after filling halfway

Wasted money on water to fill it halfway just for it to leak at the seal in both places. Making it tighter doesnโ€™t even fix it. Plumbers tape doesnโ€™t either. Cheap fixtures, would be better if it was just a barrel with an open top and without draining openings

All seals are bad. in my review

The seals leak, make sure buy some flex seal with this product. All seals are bad. Yeah its easy to put together and install lol doesn't matter if it doesn't hold water.
