Extremely poor quality

Stop buying. The cable jacket is separated from the plug head. The connection tongues on the head are very brittle and came loose after a first trial plugging into a seven-pin socket up to a bad electrical connection.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • So-so

It doesn't pay to be the best trailer accessory

Used to replace trailer wiring. Worked after the connection wobbled the first time, doesn't work after that. The truck connection had power, but it didn't run through that connection and wire. Went to NAPA, bought a plug and cord and redid it. Throw it away!

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Do not buy! Best in Hardware

Absolutely Terrible Product! None of the wire colors match standard trailer wiring or even their own wire pattern. As if they just randomly connected wires of different colors to the connector, and since this is all molded there's no way to fix it. I want to give this product zero stars.

Pros
  • One Year Trial
Cons
  • Low Repairability

Does the job of plugging in my caravan

I bought this and installed it on an old caravan to upgrade my existing trailer plug. Top quality, easy assembly. I bought a junction box separately to make the installation easier, but I don't think it's technically necessary. I checked several local trailer shops before buying from Revain and this one was significantly cheaper. Recommended if you are in the market.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • So far so good

Good quality double copper pins perfect for boat trailers

This dual copper plug and wire is perfect for changing the wiring on my boat trailer after installing the electric brakes. A NOTICE. The wiring order or color code for the 7-pin connector is different from most marine wiring diagrams. The green and amber turn signals as well as the colors of the running lights differ in this RV wiring code. This is not a problem as long as you understand the difference in color code when connecting to an existing tail light harness.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • None

Non-US Trailer Accessory Wiring

I connected my trailer and found the wrong colors were connected. I went back and checked the truck wiring. I compared it to the factory truck and my new trailer. The wires in the trailer plug are not standard of course it says standard so maybe they knew what was going on, I bought 2 I will check the other one tomorrow but I bet it has the same problem. I don't know if they're factory set incorrectly or if they're plugged in manually, but there's no way to fix this as it's hardwired to the…

Pros
  • Handy Item

Great looking cable!

Very well made very good cable, the only problem was I mistook it for gift wrap but there is no schematic to tell me what connects to what. So all I have to do is sit down and have a multimeter and make sure it matches the truck. Not such a big deal! Still have to do it! I only wish I had gotten a longer cord, my son measured in the wrong place so I'm about four feet shorter but that's my fault. Well built cable, heavy duty and the wires don't look cheap inside! Consistently good quality! Many…

Atypical Application

I recently purchased a 20ft closed truck/dump truck and wanted to install a backup camera on the back of the trailer. It turned out to be too far for my camera. So I changed my mind about one camera and settled on four. I have used this cable to carry power and signals from each camera, front, back, left and right. I added an outlet to the truck, plugged it into a junction box on each end, and wired everything up with RCA connectors. Now I have everything to do with the trailer in view and the…
