Partial tool kit

This kit does not include tools to install the A6 compressor bushing. This makes it unusable for delco A6 compressors. This is not a complete set of tools. Do not remove the pulley and do not reinstall the front wheel hub.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Available in white only

poor quality for engine cooling and climate control

Bought this unit from Tool Deals through Revain and it arrived with rusty threads. Most of the items in the set are useless for GM trucks. It was very cheap but almost useless.

Pros
  • good price
Cons
  • communication with seller

Saved me from buying a supercharger

A brand new R4 supercharger "towed" on my SS Monte hitch. there should have been a 35mm gap, but there wasn't. I bought one, tightened the clutch to 35mm play. All is well. Saved me a lot of money and worked great.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Broke after first use.: Couplings

This is nonsense. I used the puller for the first time and one of the three screws was loose. The problem is that I didn't try very hard. Took the job from a simple $20 clutch bearing replacement to a full $350 compressor replacement. I do not recommend this tool set due to the poor quality of the steel it is made of.

Pros
  • handy article
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Not as advertised. for parts

It is possible to remove the clutch but there is no way to reinstall the clutch, this kit does not include installation tools that go through the clutch disc and screw onto the pump shaft around the clutch disc to put back in place. Suggest looking for another kit if you really want to reassemble the AC coupler. There is no information in it, no instructions, no way of telling what each piece is or what it fits into.

Pros
  • trial period for one year
Cons
  • operating speed

With this kit you can only remove the clutch lining, not the entire clutch!

I used this kit to remove the A/C clutch disc on a 2000 Buick Lesabre. The threads on the clutch disc matched the tool, but when I tried to install a new clutch, the threads on the end of the tool did not match the threads on the compressor shaft, making it unusable for a new install. A puller is also required to pull off the old clutch, which is not included in this kit.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Construction
Cons
  • No

Did what it says: Replacement Parts

I bought this tool to service the clutch bearing on my GM AC (2000 Blazer). HE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO REMOVE THE CLUTCH. However, to service the bearing I needed a puller to remove it (I had one) and a press to remove the bearing. It was shot. half of the bullets were missing. I was afraid that if it stalled, I would be in a difficult position. After removing and installing the bearing, the tool kit I had was unable to get the pulley back onto the shaft like I needed to. I also couldn't…

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Functionality

Possibly weak thread

I got this set mainly to get the large "washer" as shown above left with the matching center screw. I needed to remove an AC clutch on a 2006 Subaru Forester. The center screw is too large an OD to reach the compressor shaft, so I had to find a properly threaded socket head screw to thread into the end of the shaft so the tip on the center screw goes in and not sideways. No big deal and I was able to find it at a hardware store. I removed the clutch without much drama but noticed that the…

What is it EXACTLY for? Instructions?

This could be a great tool. However, if I have never used this tool and I still do, please explain how I should know how to use this tool and what parts exactly can it be used on? This tool came with no instructions. There is no video on YouTube, nothing, nowhere. This is a tool. It turns out these are just interesting metal parts and screws unless there is an instruction manual. All we could figure out was how could it possibly work that way? It's not like this. This is not a pulley puller as…
