ABN Hose Clamp Plier 9 Piece Review

A good set overall. The tools are solid and well made. The case is solid. In fact I've used most of them to replace the thermostat housing on a Mini Cooper and they all worked well and made my job a lot easier and in one case made the almost impossible possible. The only improvement I would make would be to slightly bend the spacer clamp. It certainly helped with the range, but it was difficult to line up the slats to make a corner.

At first I was skeptical about the set because of the relatively low price, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and assembly. Each take is pretty decently designed and works as it should. If used properly, they should last a long time. My only real complaint is that the pliers don't fit properly into their respective sockets in the case. In other words, if this is your first time taking one out of the case, good luck putting it back in.

I confess I don't know what most of these pliers are for. I first got it for what I know I needed when I needed to replace my car's water valve (with wire) and hose removal tool. Buying the whole set didn't cost much more than the cable pliers alone. I think one day I'll come across another clamp that one of these other tools would be useful for.
