Description of 🔧 ABN Wheel Stud Installer Tool - Lug Bolt Extractor & Broken Stud Remover, Tire Stud Tool - Damaged Bolt Remover

ROTATING BEARING PREVENTS DAMAGE: While other installation methods use washers or nuts to pull a stud into place, doing so can put excessive strain on the stud, and can cause it to stretch and fatigue and could lead to premature failure; This Bolt Installation Tool is designed with a rotating bearing that rides on the hub so that the bolt slides easily and accurately into place; this rotating design prevents damage by eliminating some friction that other methods can cause. HEAVY DUTY: ABN’s Wheel Stud Puller Installer Tool is designed to make replacing damaged bolts, broken lug nuts, stripped and rusted studs a breeze; The stud kit is equipped with a heavy duty thrust bearing to easily pull the new wheel studs into place; Thanks to the flat bottom design, it ensures that the stud is fully seated and that no damage is done to the threaded portion of the stud. GREAT FIT FOR YOUR VEHICLE: This truck stud socket tool can fit studs up to 7/8” (2.2cm) in diameter; ABN also offers a car version that can fit up to 9/16” (1.4cm) in diameter; This tool is also noted to work with Hubs, Rotors and Axles on Both Front and Rear Wheel Drive Vehicles. EASY TO USE: The lug stud installer tool is a damaged bolt remover and extractor tool that is designed to be easy to use; Use the broken bolt extractor set to remove the problem stud; Pop the new stud from the back of the empty hole on your hub, slide on the ABN Installer Tool and tighten using an impact wrench or ratchet. CHEAP, ACCURATE, SAFE: The wheel stud socket tool is designed to be incredibly easy to use in comparison to other wheel lug stud installation tools; Not only is it cheaper than taking to a mechanic or using a hydraulic press, but it’s also more accurate than using cheaper options like washers or nuts; Using this tool is also safer and faster than some of the other options available.

Good tool, but deceptive.

Stud installer works great and is a good price. However, I would like to mention that this is just a bolt installer. This is not all that is said in the ad. Damaged bolts, broken bolts, wheel studs, etc. will not be removed.

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for support and durability
Cons
  • Quick guide

Lug Bolt Tool

Due to the large tire chain and the way their dolls replace lug nuts I had to replace a few lug bolts. So I just went ahead and replaced all 20 of them. This installation tool was worth every penny for the time saved. If you're only making one bolt, you can probably just use a couple of large washers and maybe a spacer - save your money.

Pros
  • Excellent overall
Cons
  • Could have gone for a newer model

Poor performance: tire repair tools

In my opinion this tool is not enough to install high quality wheel studs. It seems that if the bolt and nut are overtightened, the bearing won't rotate, it just sticks. So your mother just climbs onto the bolt and eventually breaks off. It ended up costing me a lot of extra time and money. I highly recommend you check out the Lisle 22800 instead.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Minor problems

A "must have " for any serious mechanic's tool kit.

I sent the hub to my local Blacks Tire and they completely screwed up the lug installation. Back then, with 2 tons in the rear of the Dually, we almost lost a tyre/wheel on the road. If I had this tool, I would never have sent a hub to even get the job done. Now it's properly fixed and I just love this tool. A+

Great tools! in Tire Repair Tools

Great tools and great price! I used a smaller tool to install (16) 9/16" bolts on a 1997 Dodge 2500 and it worked great! I used a half inch breaker to pull back the cleats with this tool and everything went very smoothly. on stilettos is still perfect. It may have messed up the nut's threads a bit, but not enough to render it unusable. I had spare parts that could be used. I highly recommend using some kind of lube on the threads and spraying some on the bearing.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • There are nuances

Ideal for the intended use!

Hi I bought this for my sister's 2007 Hyundai Entourage Van, we bought it used and found that a couple of the bolts were broken. Since I was making front brake pads and discs and would have everything, it was the perfect time to fix the front wheel stud. Bought an AutoZone wheel stud for a few dollars and used this tool to press in a new stud. It worked great and I didn't realize it would damage the nut I was pushing onto the bolt. Cool nice little tool that will always be in your toolbox!

Works great but needs some work

There is one for cars (car size). I'm assuming they apply to passenger cars because I think it might work for light trucks too. I've used it once so far and it works great. I gave it 4 stars because the tool can use a small cone where the collet nut meets the tool to avoid damage. The ring nuts were crushed slightly on the surface that comes in contact with the tool, but not as badly. I would recommend using a ratchet rather than a hammer to avoid damaging the bearing inside the tool or the…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Great tool for the money invested.

I've read the reviews and find it funny how people give such low ratings. They are NOT intended for impact use, ie hand tools only. Using a large 1/2" ratchet and a flat head, I've installed 6 bolts since I ordered them and everything works great. The hub is not damaged, the nut or the bolt is not damaged. The assembler will not damage the tool and neither will the nut be damaged. A little grease in the bearing and it slides like butter once installed. This is simply the absolute best result!

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Good but not great

Bolt Installation Made Easy

Bought a new rear axle for my 2002 Suburban which required 6 bolts per axle hub (12 bolts total). An ABN truck wheel stud installer was used, which provided more clearance around the stud than an automotive tool. I clamped the axle in a vise, put the bolt in the hole, and using a setting tool, then pulled the bolt into the hole with an impact wrench. Patience is key as it takes some effort to get these cleats to snap into place flush. The instruments got very hot so I looped the setup with…
