This is my second purchase of an AC Infinity rack fan. I'm glad to see that they've incorporated feedback from previous years to now have both inlet and outlet installation options. (I had to disassemble the fan by hand in my old unit). The new buffer function helps to avoid the rapid on/off switching (in automatic mode) of previous models. Unfortunately, this doesn't help much in Smart Mode, since the fan quickly accelerates to a certain temperature regardless of the buffer setting. and…

Functional, stylish, LOUD

I really wanted you to like it. I think this whole line has a very nice style and can classify a rack with understated hardware. However, it was a counter in my home office and I just couldn't stand the noise it was making. I ended up returning it and found that the best option for a lower price was a 1U vented connector with tiny Noctua fans. The cool thing is that if you buy an AC Infinity thermostat control box, you can still use it to control your Noctua. Just remember that if you buy a 5V…

Good workmanship, small fans, big noise.

I installed a couple of these in the control room of my recording studio and unfortunately I can't turn them higher than 2 or 3 because they are too loud. They're mounted in a rack on the console right behind me, and I can't keep them humming in my ear. It's difficult to get a lot of air moving with these small fans without fan noise. If they were in an isolated equipment room where I wouldn't care, I would turn them on and they would be fine. They help a little at low speeds, but I think I'd…

This thing is great for any rack mounted audio or computer gear.

I have a unique guitar amp. I have a rack preamp that plugs into a Mcintosh power amp. I made my own shelf so it doesn't take up too much space. After assembling the setup, I was concerned about the heat build-up in such a small space. I bought a Cloud Mount Rack fan and placed it in the back to cool two units. That works great. To my surprise, there are many different settings. A constant fan with any speed from 1 to 6, a thermostat to turn on and off as needed and a smart setting that turns…

Keep rack gear cool and in peak operating condition with this fan unit

I currently have a rack with a Blackmagic Design switcher installed in it. The device has a fan that can be as loud as a freight train. When this unit is added to the box, cool air is supplied, reducing the need to turn on the fans on the BMD. This unit is quiet, has an easy-to-read LCD screen with a temperature alarm set, a temperature-set fan, and a few other things I haven't figured out yet. Couldn't determine if this can click or draw in settings. Mine sucks air into the box. I suppose…

A good product. Be sure to pay attention to the model numbers!

This is a great looking product with many features that works well. I have some design issues.1. If you don't know this manufacturer, pay attention to the model numbers. Inlet and outlet models are different. Why it's not a switch or setting these days is weird, but it is what it is. Just make sure you order the type you want.2. The power supply is not ideal for a rack-mounted product. This is a 1U device, but due to the orientation of the power supply pins, it is not intended to be connected…
