I just needed a light latch and wanted something cheap. When I opened them I was pleasantly surprised. If they fail I'll update this review but for now it's five stars. Some reviews mention that they don't come with screws, which is true, but my experience with small Chinese screws is that they still shear or snap off, so I agree.

Bought these to use as new latches on my old Igloo plastic fridge. The original plastic latch broke so I wanted something very low profile and durable. They are made of stainless steel so they are stronger and won't rust. They didn't come with screws, but since they can be used for anything I get that. Just remember that you need to buy the right screws for your job.

In the background it makes sense that the manufacturer used thinner material to make the product cheaper. I just didn't think about it before ordering it. They were easy to install and work perfectly. I was just feeling the edges of the metal and hoping someone (we have small ones) didn't get cut on the project I used them on.
