Cheaper than dealer

Just what I needed to fix a coolant leak on my 2015 Chevy Cruze LTZ (1.4L Turbo). This is the second one I've installed, the first has done about 40,000 km, this is a common problem (design flaw) with this engine. The dealer wanted $500 to fix it - WOW, $25, some hand tools and about 30 minutes, I replaced it. E10 bolts if using a standard head - be careful. Also the tightening torque should be 8 Nm which is 70 in/lbs (I put a thin coat of silicone grease on the rubber seal to hold it inโ€ฆ

  • Rugged finish

  • Not sure

Was working on my 2014 Cruze LTZ!

This fixed a coolant leak on my 2014 Chevy Cruze LTZ. I'm not a mechanic, but I'm good with tools. I found this setup relatively easy. I recommend purchasing a tool to easily remove the hose mounts, as well as a properly sized socket. I also used a torque wrench to prevent over tightening the bolts. Draining the coolant was easy. I just unscrewed the bottom cap on the drain valve. I gently pulled him back and put a short length of tubing over him. It flowed into my pan without spilling a dropโ€ฆ

  • Stylish and modern design
Cons

Take it. Easy to replace.

Works well so far. Chevy charged a ridiculous amount for this thing. If you hesitate to do repairs yourself and you have a Chevrolet 1.4, then take this one! This was the easiest repair I've ever done. I've had cars that gave me more trouble changing the oil. You only have to remove the air intake hose, after which the part is easily accessible. A lot more work than replacing this part is draining the coolant. And it really wasn't that bad. Chevy quoted me $600 for it, highway robberyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Cleanliness

Get some hose clamp pliers like ABN Flexible Hose Clamp Pliers

This is just what I needed for my 2012 Chevy Cruze. It comes with an O ring. The OEM manifold has a leak at the upper radiator hose bracket. Over time, the coolant has ruined the plastic. You will also need to purchase General Motors 13251447 Engine Coolant Recovery Tank Hose. When I took it off this distributor, the end piece was so brittle that it came off cleanly and I didn't even notice. At least until I tried to stop the leak it was causing. I also had to purchase an upper radiator hose as

Right Side at Right Price

Excellent! Great price for this part that worked great. I was able to remove all of the tubing with a small pair of pliers, but it wasn't much fun. I definitely agree that you should get some clamp pliers. My old part cracked right where the large radiator pipe joined the block. The crying became a leak. It was a pretty easy switch. I removed the air intake hose so I can see the heater hose coming from behind. I also replaced two clamps that were almost impossible to get back without the rightโ€ฆ

  • Easy to Read Control Panel

  • Blank

Cheap part causes big problems

Just what I need for my 2012 Chevrolet Cruze 1.4 Turbo. I had a coolant leak and thought it was my upper coolant hose so I replaced it because it didn't see any cracks at the time. I didn't really have to do this, but it became a huge leak at the top coolant outlet. The plastic is torn and torn at the seam. In my photo you can see how bad everything was. My guess is that when I had my turbo replaced because it failed at 50,000 miles, the shop shut off the coolant outlet. Pretty complex solution

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Almost never

Will never buy a Chevy again

Don't forget you will need a size 10 Torx head to remove/install this part. When ordering this part, you better order the connector while making it if you don't have it. Oh, and Chvey Cruze sucks. A family member had a 12 year old Accord. Yes, every car wears out and needs maintenance, but in 12 years of operation the Accord has NEVER lost fluid. We also have a Toyota that's only a year younger than my Cruze. Never problems. I used to drive a cheap used 2005 Benz C230. Never had such problemsโ€ฆ
