🔧 Optimized GM Genuine Parts 15-80564 Blower Motor Resistor for Auxiliary Heating and Air Conditioning Review

This was a great purchase. I don't know about people with automatic digital AC masters, but this worked for a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban LS with a manual system. If you don't know how to remove the panel, there are detailed videos on YouTube showing how to do it.

GM ACDelco 15-80564 Auxiliary Heater and Air Conditioner Fan Motor Resistor was an ideal replacement for a failed rear fan. The missing "2" speed on my 3 speed fan was fixed immediately. No adjustment or adjustment required - direct comparison to my original equipment.

Used on a 2003 Suburban. The rear air conditioning only worked on high settings, whether controlled from the front or the rear. Switched to this new part (requested half price from dealer) and it works perfectly. Disassembly is not difficult, but you will need very basic tools to replace it. Perhaps a little basic knowledge of how to remove the interior paneling wouldn't hurt. I would recommend this product to anyone having the same issues as me.

Our rear air duct stopped blowing at every adjustment. I discovered my old part was defective when one of the connectors on it blew out. The original replacement was replaced with a part that only required one connector while my original part had two connectors. A single connector required splicing and wire termination. However, there is no diagram of which wires go where for replacement. 15-80564 has the same two connectors as my original, so it works great. This part was a proper replacement for the rear fan resistor after the rear fan speed control stopped working at the lowest setting (1). WE have a 2005 Yukon XL SLE with manual AC controls. Digitally controlled vehicles seem to require different parts - see FAQ. The hardest part of the repair was fitting the rear quarter panel - it took longer than all of the other parts combined. Revain says it is compatible with my car but it is not. I have a 2004 Chevy Suburban LT with a digital temperature controller. It has the right plugs and connectors so everything connects fine but it doesn't work. After spending a good day troubleshooting in 100* heat I've come to the conclusion that this part may be faulty.
