Works like new good for engine cooling and air conditioning

This part fits like the original and restores the functionality of the blower system. It's much better to have multiple fan speeds than "off". and "max"

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick

Fan motor speed resistance. Pontiac G6

I gave the installation a 2 star rating based on the amount of disassembly required to get to the resistor. Once you are there, no problem. Disconnect it and put a new one in. It would be a good idea to replace the fan motor while you're there.

Pros
  • Pretty Packaging
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Works great with Malibu 2010 LT

Bought after my fan stopped working in position 1. Difficult to install as the screws are small and very hidden under the dashboard. This works for Malibu 2010 LT with manual fan speed. If you want one for automatic climate control, you may need a resistor other than this one.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Has defects

Watch YouTube and install this thing, save $$$

My husband, who has no mechanical training, watched a video on YouTube and installed this thing in my 2005 Malibu in 30 minutes. We had no idea if this part was the problem, but YouTube again suggested it might be the case. Look, the heating is working again! Saved us a $200 store bill.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

The fan is running again! on spare parts

There is a Saturn Aura where the fan speed only worked at high speed (all other options were disabled). Did a little research and after checking the fuses decided to give this a try. Obviously this is a different location on different cars, but installing it on the Saturn wasn't difficult. It took about 20 minutes to pull the old one out and put the new one in (I didn't have a 5.5mm socket, I was working on the back over the passenger seat). After installation everything worked like new.

Pros
  • excellent design
Cons
  • thin

Works great!

Works like a charm! Works great! A little difficult to install due to the limited space, but you don't need a professional to do it. You will need a 7/32 socket to remove well-tightened screws. For more information there is a YouTube video called 2005 Pontiac G6 Fan Motor Resistor that you can find and watch. I would have provided a link to it like I tried in my original comment, but that seems to violate the feedback rules and the comment was downvoted. Edit: I can however post a link in the…

Pros
  • Offers GM quality, reliability and durability OE
Cons
  • So far so good

Fixed AC fan on my 2009 Malibu!

Purchased because first speed on my air conditioner stopped working. The installation is quite easy and there are several videos on Youtube to help you with the installation. The left screw is a little tricky to install as there is almost no room, but you should be fine if you use a U-joint and a small ratchet wrench. I think the nuts are 5.5mm or 7.5mm. If anyone also experiences clicking noises, just note that this is a symptom unrelated to fan motor resistance! This is due to the relay…

Pros
  • Restores fan speed control caused by a faulty resistor
Cons
  • Minus present

Handy little thing - heater

A handy little thing if you want the fan in your car to have more than one fan speed. My Pontiac G6 only ran at high speed. Fan, having changed some of these on other cars, I knew what the problem was. The fan, which must be removed first, is held in place by three clips. Grasp it at the center back and front and gently pull down to avoid breaking it. Locate the wiring that goes into the HVAC box on the left and remove the clip that goes there. There will be two screws holding it in place, the…
