Delco The Real Deal

Bought this genuine GM part and worked great. Also bought a fake so I could have two FOBS but it was SHIT and not programmable.

Pros

It works out! suitable for remote start

The two original remotes that came with my HHR are obsolete so I bought these. It works as it should. The only downside is that I had to pay $80 to program it. $130.00 for programming and part. Still cheaper than buying everything at the dealer.

Pros
  • Rugged construction

Here's a little life hack. I have a 2009 HHR and the unlock button on my remote is worn out. I would have to hit him 20 times to open the door. The dealer asked $101 for a new remote plus programming work. I bought this device, I thought I'd try to program it myself and if I can't I'll take it to the dealer. At least I would have saved most of the $101. When I got this I opened it up and stuck the circuit board from the old remote inside and it works great! No programming required. For less…

Pros
  • Easy-to-read control panel
Cons
  • Disappears
