The part worked but it would be very helpful if it were said that it has to be programmed by the dealer for it to work at all or your car won't start

I installed this on my '07 Silverado, left the original plugged in and went to the dealer to program. I was paid $90 just for the programming and we will be happy with the price as I was offered $500.

Will need to be programmed at the dealer unless you can find a 3rd party mechanic who has software to install the programming for the module. Worked great on my 2009 Silverado. The seals on it should work around the same time as there have been a lot of reports of this part failing lately.
