ACDelco 337 1002 Professional Starter Review

Started the truck 3 times before taking it to the workshop only to find that this starter was too flexible. I wish I could go back

Product works and installs as expected but is made in China. Revain, you need to make the country of origin easy to find on the product page.

Works as it should. I needed it for a 6.2 24 volt diesel converted to a 12 volt starter. I bought a cheaper brand the first time and it never fit. I wish I had bought this ACDelco from the start.

I bought this for my 1994 K2500 Diesel Suburban. I installed it a few weeks ago and have nothing but good things to say about the effort. I had no idea my old starter motor was struggling so hard. Revs up very quickly to fire the 6.5 liter diesel engine.

The price was right and the part was a perfect fit. The starting speed is a bit faster than my old original starter and now the truck starts much easier. It gets two stars because there is no mention of ACDelco anywhere on the box or on the part itself. The box and part are stamped "Made in China" and I suspect it is not actually an AC Delco OEM part. Instead I think it's a cheaper aftermarket part. So far it's working fine but I would love the OEM ACDelco part I was planning to buy.

Fits easily in my 93ft 6.5in car. Perfectly aligned and no spacers required. 6.5s don't use gaskets, and if you buy a starter that requires gaskets, it's a cheap imitation that won't fit properly. I would give that 5 stars if there was proof that this was a genuine ACDelco product, but the only mention of ACDelco was a sticker that said "Made for ACDelco, Detroit, Michigan". in China for ACDelco, Detrot, Michigan?
