Exactly what I needed. Original OEM quality.

Ordered eight of these for my 2000 GMC pickup to keep my connections from burning through the connector wires. Very easy to install.

Exactly as described

OEM AcDelco, fits great. I would recommend buying them from Amazon and not anywhere else. If you put headers like me, use them. You save your plug wires. They won't work with MSD wires on Vortec, but I believe Taylor wires will work. I have this ceramic coating along with long Kooks 1-7/8 tubes.

factory replacement.

Direct replacement from the factory. If you're changing spark plugs and wires, it might be a good idea to take those with you as well. I destroyed the cap on the first fork I replaced and didn't have any spares so I rode 4 days with a new fork and wire and a damaged heat shield waiting for them. Local parts stores didn't have them, and other sites charged $20 for them.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Almost never

Replacement OEM: Replacement Parts

They worked great on my 2003 GMC Sierra 2500hd 6.0 work truck. The originals had a heat-resistant brown paper cylinder in the shields. I used small needle nose pliers to gently pry the paper cylinders out of the old shields and slowly slip them over the spark plug wire and then insert into the heat shield. Perfect as it was from the factory when I bought the truck.

  • Easy to Use

They are perfect for use

yes good luck finding these in auto parts stores! This is another one of those parts that they probably don't want to mess with because the traders can't make enough money off it so they don't carry it. Thank you Revane you had them and the price was perfect. Hopefully I won't need them again, but if I do, at least I know where to get them. You want beauty too!

Springs are best NOT needed in spark plugs

These heat shields have springs. Why? When I first saw the nibs I was REALLY confused as to their purpose. Added capture function? Added heat transfer? Improved way to remove boot for next setting? It's better to leave her, isn't it? NOT CORRECT! Boots kept dangling. I just pulled out the springs and miraculously the boots aren't hanging out anymore. I still don't understand the purpose of the sources other than to frustrate me and burn my hands. Guess time will tell. I will post this review…

Pros
  • Best of all
Cons
  • Packaging is ugly

Perfect fit, well finished

I ordered these guards for a 100,000 service on my 2005 Escalade 6.0L (spark plugs, spark plug wires and shields changed). Of course, check first, but these shields should also work on the Avalanche, Suburban, Tahoe, and Yukon (VIN C/K) for the same model year, which I believe is 2002-2006. While I could probably reuse the old screens, after 100,000 miles I decided to order new screens, especially as I was installing new plugs and cables. The service manual does not provide for replacement of…
