Don't rely on Revain to recommend the right part

The switch was the real AC Delco. Revain recommendation The motor is not very good - it was the wrong switch for my car. Of course, it's a PITA that needs changing, so I didn't try it before the return deadline, so it's taking up litter box space in my tool kit forever now.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • There are better options out there.

Genuine quality good for ignition starter

Added fuel injection to my second generation Trans Am. The switch for the old parts store worked in all positions, but produced an intermittent 12 volt signal, which was enough to keep the FI computer restarting. The old switch was universal, but this one is designed specifically for models with a rotating wheel. Replaced the old switch with this Delco switch and the problem was solved.

Pros
  • Wow

Easier than I thought.

I was a little scared. The locksmith told me he would rather put 10 ignition switches in than 1 ignition switch. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, and I have braided wires under my speaker from the remote start and alarm. Overall it was pretty easy, took about 45 minutes and worked great. If you have big hands this could be a strong squeeze, but if not then you should be fine.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

1983 Camaro with Switches and Relays

This item enters from the bottom. No need to disassemble the dashboard or steering column. Remove the steering column support bracket to gain some extra clearance. Disconnect the brake switch electrical connector and the high beam electrical connector. The ignition switch connector is easier to remove if the fasteners are removed. The switch is located at the top of the rack. The high beam switch is connected to the ignition switch. I used an 8mm ratchet wrench to remove the two bolts. The…

Pros
  • Sturdy Construction
Cons
  • Questionable Purchase for Elderly

You have to lower the steering column to get to the switch!

I have a 1990 GMC P/U that won't start. It was a no click launch issue. At first I suspected the starter solenoid, then after a little diagnostics the ignition switch. Not the ignition you put the key in, but the switch that activates when the key is turned. The switch is located at the top of the steering column between the dashboard and the firewall. To get to the switch, you have to lower the steering column! The pillar sits in a bracket just below the dash. You will need to remove the…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • I'm having problems

My 69 GS inclined column now has ACC again.

Ordered another switch here from Standard a few years ago, no matter where I hired this switch, it didn't offer me a trigger function or accessories. This solved that problem, this is True Tilt GM Ignition Switch. There are differences between tilt and non-tilt switches, so be careful which one you order. Maybe someone put a non-tilting one in my previous package when I bought it, then I figured there was another problem since the machine was in use, like the wrong gear I bought to replace the…

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks
