Description of 🔧 ACDelco MU1751: Genuine GM Fuel Pump & Level Sensor with Seal, Float, and Harness

Designed with guide rods to retain proper alignment while reducing pinching. Include a reservoir and jet pump to prevent fuel pump starvation when the fuel level is low. Most strainers are placed inside the module to help reduce the chance of puncture. Acetyl plastic for good high-alcohol fuel tolerance. Electrical connections are designed to help eliminate high resistance due to vehicle vibration.

Excellent Parts Pump

Replaced the pump on a 1997 Chevy S-10 with this pump. On my old pump, the gear unit failed at 152,000 miles. This pump is installed directly in the tank, a new connection cable harness must be installed. All parts for connection in the adapter wiring harness are supplied with the pump.

Pros
  • A Bunch of Positive Emotions
Cons
  • Vulgarity

A good product. Identical to what is bought from the dealer.

as advertised. The same pump you could buy from a dealer. I installed it the next weekend with great results. The wiring diagram of the updated connector was accurate and precise. Immediately checked the fuel pressure, the injectors were 62psi as required by the manufacturer.

Pros
  • nice item
Cons
  • large and bulky

I bought a genuine ACDelco MU1751 GM fuel pump and it lasted six months

I thought buying a genuine GM replacement pump would last over six months. Stop working in the middle of the street. Had to tow a 2000 '10 Chevy truck to a service shop and was shocked to find that it was a new replacement fuel pump. Does the manufacturer of this pump guarantee this device? And if so, how do I get a replacement or refund?

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Nothing

Perfect fit and very well made. I replaced the fake pump because the fuel gauge sensor stopped working and the company didn't make replacement parts so I had to replace the whole pump because the $5 part was so cheap it wore out very quickly. The ACDelco pump was better constructed and more efficient than the imitations. This is when you want to spend a few bucks more and get the real deal.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • No automation

Delco AC fuel pump is the best of the spares

I purchased this pump and received it within 7 days. I took out the old unit and compared it to the new unit and found that the main plug does not match the original. Then I looked through the box and saw that the kit contained a spark plug replacement kit. It was the only fear. The new unit was easy to install and once the new connector was installed in the wiring harness it hooked up to the pump with no problems. I've had the new pump running for over a month with no problems. I strongly…

Great price and product!

Perfect fit and great price. You can buy an ACDeleco recovery kit for this, but at this price, why even bother. I would highly recommend this fuel pump and after reading other forums I'm not worried about other brands. I thought that I have 15 years and this is still going on. The only reason I replaced mine was because my check valve in the pump was no longer holding the pressure in the fuel lines and I had to turn the key for a few seconds before starting. With my 2000 S10, I figured it was…

Pickup starts much better and accelerates much better

My V6 has been responsive for quite some time and when I filled the tank it started leaking so I bought this pump and a new tank. It was installed yesterday and after the mechanic turned the key 3 times, it started quickly with just 1 turn each time. As good as the easy start is I can accelerate uphill even with my usual full toolbox and whatnot, it used to 'knit' quite a bit which meant the power only dwindled until I let go of the pedal then the die Power will come back, but it will have less

Pros
  • An absolute legend

Buyer beware, this is most likely not an OEM unit

Pro Mechanic Review: Came in a box with AC Delco on the outside but the pump was not marked as OEM. The pump housing was not identical to the pump originally removed, it differed greatly in many respects. There is also no provision at the bottom of the pump to install a new original strainer. Another sign that it wasn't original was the requirement to replace the electrical connector on the truck with one that would match the new pump. Installed this pump following the plug replacement…

So far so good with fuel pumps and accessories

Installed on 1997 S10 with extended cab side step at 130,000 miles. For some time prior to installation, the engine had a "kick" that felt like a misfire, but no trouble codes, and was usually cold and/or wet. The complete ignition system was exchanged, it got better, but sent back. It should also be noted that the engine runs fairly well with MSD-6A ignition but barely with MSD bypass making it really look like an ignition problem. First I replaced the injection cross with the MPFI update…
