Buyer beware, this is most likely not an OEM unit

Pro Mechanic Review: Came in a box with AC Delco on the outside but the pump was not marked as OEM. The pump housing was not identical to the pump originally removed, it differed greatly in many respects. There is also no provision at the bottom of the pump to install a new original strainer. Another sign that it wasn't original was the requirement to replace the electrical connector on the truck with one that would match the new pump. Installed this pump following the plug replacement instructions and the unit initially worked fine. After driving about 800 miles on the freeway, the pump started causing the engine to starve of fuel. Hardly hobbled home than the car began to lay down, luckily only 10 miles from base. Changed the fuel filter to make sure it wasn't the cause of the lack of fuel and the car still has the same symptoms. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who thinks they can get an exact replacement for their S10 truck. 2001 S10 4.3 Extended Cab 2WD 5 MT.
