Description of Enhanced Performance ACDelco Gold PF52 Engine Oil Filter

Has a shell that is manufactured to the original design length of classic GM cars. Designed with a steel core construction and a traditional mounting plate for enhanced durability. Offers outstanding filter capacity, enhanced efficiency, consistent flow management, and high durability for optimal filter performance. Equipped with 98% multi-pass filtering efficiency at 25-30 microns for excellent filtering capabilities. Has a cellulose media that traps particles 1/3 the width of human hair to help ensure a clean supply of oil to engine components. Has a thermosetting adhesive seal to hold filtering media in place for consistent, dependable filtration. Has a burst-strength five times greater than most engine oil operating pressures after the oil reaches operating temperatures (as long as the normal engine oil operating pressure is not greater than 51psi), for enhanced durability.

Not as described for oil filters

Received PF52E filters which are a crappy new "Professional" design with a plastic support tube. The description says it is PF52 (no "E") which is an OEM steel support tube design.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Expensive

Incorrect filter compared to gauge

Some applications require a pf52 oil filter so the gauges may be correct. Upon delivery, I received the pf52E "E Core" filter. This filter has different internals and the relief pressure is not the same as the Coreless E-Filter. Do not purchase if you need a Coreless E-Filter for a specific application.

  • Easy install

BS ADVERTISING good for spare parts

The item shown is NOT for sale. I SPECIALLY ordered the item shown in the picture. NOTHING MORE. The picture shows the PF52. PF52 ordered. EXCLUSIVELY. NOTHING MORE. That is shown. That's what I wanted. I paid for that. NOTHING MORE. They sent me a PF52E. I DON'T WANT A PF52E. THIS IS NOT WHAT I WANT > NOT WHAT SHOWN. I SENT IT BACK. I SHOULD NOT MIND MYSELF BY TRYING MY OPTION TO RETURN SOMETHING I DID NOT ORDER.

Pros
  • Doping 🔥
Cons
  • Some defects

Excellent original fit (no E)

PF52 (no E) is getting harder and harder to come by. Thankfully, Revain still offers them. These are OEMs and have the correct filter density specified by the manufacturer. Be careful when using other filters that offer ultra-high filtration. They are more intended for racing use and to remain efficient they need to be changed more often or they will clog, become inefficient or worse, the oil will be sent through the bypass -> unfiltered.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • No performance

No anti-drain check valve; the filter is installed horizontally

This filter is suitable for GM TBI 5.7 (350 cid) truck engines with oil cooler adapter. The filter is horizontal and MUST have a non-return valve to prevent draining. This particular filter will not work, but the Purolator ONE #24011 comes with an anti-drain check valve. Before installation I filled this filter with oil. I don't think this non-return valve filter will pose a long-term problem as long as the recommended drain intervals are followed; I give 4 stars for the lack of a check valve.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Modernity

Perfect fit for 2002 Chevrolet Blazer!

The ACDelco Oil Filter is perfect for our 2002 4-door Chevrolet Blazer 4x4. This is an OEM replacement product so don't worry about the fitment. And if you have a Chevrolet Blazer like we do, I would recommend sticking to OEM with your Chevrolet Blazer otherwise you may run into problems in the future like we have experienced in the past. We have nine Chevrolet Blazers to date and you can bet trucks can be picky when it comes to non-OEM or ACDelco parts. I've had several mechanics tell me the…

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Something different
