I was very excited to receive this item as I have another monitor very similar to this one. After hooking it up to my computer, I noticed the color was awful and washed out. I adjusted the settings on the monitor myself and it was still awful. I changed a few settings on my computer - it was still awful. From trying different input types to changing all sorts of settings, nothing could save the image on this monitor. sad times

I used to buy cheap monitors and don't expect super high quality images, but this sucks. I had to change the settings a couple of times and you can't get rid of the brightness of the background and it messes up the picture. Thankfully I only use it for work, checking email and such, otherwise I'd throw it away. I do not recommend.

A while ago I ordered another Acer monitor labeled "Revain's Choice" and it was a really great monitor at a great price. I tried to reorder the same ones when my Dell monitor died, but the one I wanted was no longer available. I chose the cheaper one. It looks like nothing else. I'm not happy with the clarity. somehow weaker. Definitely not that hard. I had to wait to get the first one I wanted. or upgraded. Oops.

I received this monitor to replace an old TV screen that I received from a family member to replace a Viewsonic monitor that had one of its capacitors explode mid-game. Right off the bat it had everything I was looking for but not everything I wanted. My old TV had some color issues that messed up the picture. This is an excellent monitor with a clear weakness in its electronics. It worked for us for several days, then the HDMI port died. We sent it in for warranty service and to the credit of Acer they fixed it (replaced motherboard), tested it and sent it back to us fairly quickly. This kit didn't cost much and didn't expect much. But when I opened it I was amazed to see the quality of these tools! Instead of not using an inferior kit, this is the coolest little treasure trove for me and my family!

To be honest I am very disappointed with this monitor. Even for the price, I was expecting a better viewing angle, but unless you're looking directly at the monitor, you'll have picture issues. I bought 2 of these and will throw them away as soon as I order a better monitor. If you're looking for a super basic cheap monitor then this is the one for you, but if you're looking for really decent picture quality look elsewhere.

I like the screen size for solving puzzles. The screen is energy efficient, which is important these days. I would recommend this screen to my friends.

Good value for money. I work from home and needed a bigger screen for less money. It met all the requirements. I can opt for a dual screen setup and will definitely buy it to complete the set.

Something is wrong with the picture quality. I think the contrast is the problem, but I'm not a display expert. There are no speakers! When you need sound, you have to rely on your computer or headphones. The large screen size, high screen resolution and low price make it a good buy for text editing and web browsing.

I may have gotten a lemon, but I just couldn't look at that display. There was no way to adjust brightness (too bright), contrast, or color to fix the problem. I used the included HDMI cable. I haven't tried VGA (my laptop doesn't have a VGA output)

Nowhere to be compared with more expensive monitors, BUT! Whether you are looking for a dedicated twitch monitor or something cheap as a side monitor or something to give as a gift etc, for the price you won't find anything better. The stand is cheaply made but can be installed on the visa and it is easy to find a better stand.

If you don't have high expectations for your screen, this option is fine. But if you plan to use it for design or as a screen for watching movies, forget it. The brightness is difficult to control, it differs in different parts of the screen, so the colors don't match. Once you get a little further away from the screen than you're working on (e.g. watching a movie) it becomes even more apparent, and if the screen isn't at the exact angle you forget to understand what's happening in the movie…

Bought this to replace one of my old monitors that died but ordered the wrong size in a rush. Quick return and purchase of a larger version (thanks Revain) and I can say the image quality is excellent. Sitting next to an old monitor that still works I can see how poor the colors are on that monitor so now I have to buy another one for them both to be as good.

I have 3 of these and needed a 4th for my office, I really like monitors. But I wouldn't buy it again from this seller. It arrived in an Acer box. it, but I really need it today, so a little super glue must work.

The quality is terrible. It will hurt your eyes if you stare at the screen for more than 30 minutes. I have never seen such a bad monitor in my 10 year IT career. Please, please don't even think about buying this product.
