I have found this product very useful in my filter box. Combined with activated charcoal, this product helped filter a lot of dirt out of my tank in a matter of hours. I will definitely buy more of this product in the future.

I squeezed out my usual handful for my material bowl and found the thread was clumpy and rough and then I saw bits of bits between the fibers. I checked a few more pieces of the package and found what appeared to be wilted leaves! The packaging has been sealed at the factory, so be careful. Sometimes you get what you pay for. Stay away!

The best way to get crystal clear water. It filters out tiny particles that fall back into the tank. TO UPDATE. I feel like it clogs my reservoir quickly and therefore I have to change my polyfill much quicker because I have a large reservoir AND small polyfill particles floating in it. Tank when you deploy new ones!

I have this after my pre filter and before my expensive Aqueon filters and it saves me money. I spend about a dollar every other week and only change my Aqueon filters once a month (to keep the activated carbon semi-fresh). I've noticed that my water got a little cleaner after I started using it as a medium filter media. Thru the price is hard not to recommend.

One of the main requirements of a filter is the filter thread. The great thing about filter floss is that you will buy a bag of this size and last a long time. I change my used filter media quite often and it still lasts a while. I know other people who do frequent water changes and rarely change the filter thread. Either way, the thing works and works well. Too cheap to pass up. Polish the water well.

I use filter fibers from time to time to clean my water. It did a good job. Inexpensive and easily replaceable. The only problem is that every now and then a small piece will slip away in your aquarium. No matter how you compress it. However, it is worth polishing the water. I would recommend getting the filter fiber in a sheet that can be easily cut and placed inside the filter. I put this in the bottom filter of a Penn Plax Bubbler with gravel on the bottom and it FLOATS. I've been using this bubble box with a different thread for years with no problems and decided to try this product because it was cheaper. It's also made up of fine, filament-like hairs that can break out of the box and eventually wrap around your outboard stern filter's impeller/motor. NOT GOOD. Works great with my saltwater nano aquariums! I have a 28G nanocube and a 7.5 rimless cube (both fluted). Nano reef aquariums need clean water all the time, and a polyester filter helps with that! I change the dose every other day on my 28G and about every three days on another small tank.
