I used an Alien Bees B-800 cosmetic flash bowl. This adapter is perfect to use this cosmetic tray with Flashpoint XL.

I bought this adapter to fit a Paul C softbox to use. The correct adapter was ordered and another reviewer said they could cut this adapter to size. Trimming the extra 1/4 inch from the edge was easy with heavy duty scissors. I then used a file to clean up the edge, which took a while (I'm pretty slow and meticulous). I used to have Alien Bee flashlights and loads of Paul C Buff mods. I ended up switching to a Bowens mount lighting system but wanted to keep the Paul Buff softbox and octobox. The problem was that Paul Buff uses a Balcar mount. After searching I couldn't find a (cheap) mount to replace the mount with. , I tried. It's pretty easy to cut with metal scissors.
