I bought this adapter to fit a Paul C softbox to use. The correct adapter was ordered and another reviewer said they could cut this adapter to size. Trimming the extra 1/4 inch from the edge was easy with heavy duty scissors. I then used a file to clean up the edge, which took a while (I'm pretty slow and meticulous). The finished product works great and is strong enough to fit in my 32" x 40" softbox. As a bonus for those looking to use this adapter with a buff softbox, there is a clearly visible line exactly 1/4 inch from the edge that matches the diameter of the piece needed. This means you don't have to measure or worry about off-center cutting if you use this line as a guide.
