STRONG! in mounts

I needed help with a DVR in my 18 wheel car. He would have decided to just let go of my windshield. Since adding one of those sticky suction cups I haven't had this problem anymore. My truck doesn't provide a smooth ride at first, but no matter how bumpy the ride gets, my dashcam stays in place. That's great. I wonder if they will work in my wife's mouth? Oh, did I say that? Just kidding, honey.

NO flat surface to attach the mount to

There are many such items that have a flat, hard surface to attach the mount to. Not this one. This is double sided tape. You attach the disc to the suction cup mount and then attach the other side to the dashboard. This makes it completely impossible to use the mount in a different car as it is now permanently attached to the rim and will snap into place where you have attached it every time. Sending back too cheap. wasted money. I'll hide it in my shop in case I need that useless round goo.

Use two on the windshield

I have a Vantrue Pro dash cam that mounts on the windshield and connects to the car. Three months later, the suction cup suddenly stopped holding. I tried every trick, took it to the installer who did everything they could think of and within 24 hours it was crashing again. I applied one of these exactly as instructed and pressed firmly against the windshield for three minutes. About 90 seconds after I let go of it, it fell again. Doesn't stick well to the dashboard, couldn't attach the phone holder suction cups

I bought this to attach the phone holder to the suction cup on the dashboard. The original suction cup lost its stickiness after about a month. Those sticky pads couldn't even last a few seconds. I've searched the whole pack, followed the directions up to T (cleaning with alcohol wipes), even tried different sides of the wipes (although they appear symmetrical), all to no avail. The phone holder is quite bulky so it might fit lighter models but I doubt it.

Melts in the sun and turns into putty on the windshield

Terrible product. waste of money. 1 - had to be cut for my car. never mind I installed it and it lasted 5 months with no problems. 2- it stopped holding the bracket in the 5th month, dropped the bracket on the floor causing the bracket to break which I now need to replace (I'm not happy about that) 3- it's in the sun completely melted. Here it was 85-90 degrees, so by no means extreme. 4 - It's incredibly difficult to get off my windshield right now. I do not recommend this product.

OMG this is so tacky and I love it.

I found this product incredibly sensual. As I slowly ran my fingers over the protective plastic cover, I felt a sense of comfort and solidarity in my new relationship with my DVR sticky pad.
