I have a Vantrue Pro dash cam that mounts on the windshield and connects to the car. Three months later, the suction cup suddenly stopped holding. I tried every trick, took it to the installer who did everything they could think of and within 24 hours it was crashing again. I applied one of these exactly as instructed and pressed firmly against the windshield for three minutes. About 90 seconds after I let go of it, it fell again. I was wondering if it would stick to itself better than using the DVR's weight on a sticker, so I put a sticker with the red side on the glass, then a sticker with the yellow side on the DVR and stuck them together and the DVR stuck to the glass. One thing to think about is the color of these stickers. They are an unattractive grey-beige color and are noticeable when looking through the windshield. I have to put up with this because my dash cam needs to be installed where it is, but if you're really concerned about your aesthetics, just know you'll see this from the outside of your car.
