🎒 adidas Excel Backpack in Active Teal/Jersey Onix/Real Pink/Onix - Unisex, One Size Review

I was very impressed with the quality of this backpack. The material appears to be very durable. Decent pocket space. Suggestion from different departments. Arrived on time and as expected.

Don't get me wrong, I love this bag. It has everything I need and the color (mine is pink) is beautiful and exactly as advertised. But it's a HUGE bag in the sense that it's very deep, much deeper than I expected. So rest assured that you can pack everything in it except the kitchen sink. But if you are looking for a traditional sized backpack I would recommend something else.

I love this backpack! It's small but deep enough for everything I need. I like that it has 2 separate compartments. The main compartment has two separate compartments for a laptop and other small items like a tablet lying on the back while there is room for things in this compartment. The smaller compartment has a holder for 3 pens, a lanyard and a small mesh pocket for coins. It also has 2 mesh bottle holders (I use one for my water bottle and one for my iPhone). This is an excellent backpack.

I've had this bag for about 6 months and the strap on the left side breaks. It was shabby at first, and then one of the layers just peeled off. I'm not doing anything crazy about it. I chose this particular bag partly because of the ADIDAS lifetime warranty, but I went to the website and had to ship a bunch of stuff and then pay shipping to send it back. I think next time I'll just choose the bag I like better from another brand and not worry about the warranty. So disappointing.

I've had some great Adidas backpacks in the past and one of the front zips always opened up a large pocket that fitted everything all the way to the bottom of the backpack and is about 11 inches long so you can fit many things in it for quick access. However, on this backpack, the front pocket is only 6.5 inches long, so items like a water bottle or lunch bag won't fit inside. I think that's a bad design choice. This backpack has a lot of school supplies. The "loading spring" on the shoulder straps really helps protect my child's back when the backpack is full of heavy supplies. The shoulder straps have excellent padding, as does the back of the backpack. My son used the exact same backpack (a different color) last year and he has carried heavy school supplies all year and has been thrown and even dragged on the ground a bit. My son received this backpack for the 2018-19 school year and after a few months it started tearing and got worse. It was torn inside so he could still wear it without worrying about the outside. I contacted adidas customer service in November (as listed on my Amazon purchase detail page) and they have yet to resolve our issue. Poor customer service from adidas. My son loves the colors of this backpack. He's a Philadelphia Union fan, so the blue and khaki colors are perfect. This is a really good bag and seems to be quite durable. This is the best backpack! I have three boys aged 9 to 12. The eldest carries a HUGE trapper, laptop and lunch bag to school every day. The main compartment has space for the hunter and a computer, while the outer pocket can hold a lunch and even other items like his gym clothes and any other essentials he needs.
