Half the number is definitely too big. They have a hard sole and are good for the trail, loud for indoor training on hard surfaces. Strange feature, but the rear heel support of the shoe hole is a little high. This will chafe and blister without socks that are high enough or worn until they are worn. Overall a quality shoe, just a little quirky.
